Bluebird Ridge Cabin is a peaceful escape tucked between Red River Gorge and Cave Run Lake. Sip morning coffee in the rocking chairs or swing, grill dinner out back, then share a glass of wine under the stars- on clear nights, you might even see the Milky Way. Hear owls and whippoorwills as you relax by the fire. With so much to do—hiking, climbing, kayaking, boating, birdwatching, and more- you’ll love every moment in this pine-lined haven beside Daniel Boone National Forest. The space Upon arriving you'll see the cabin's front porch, chairs, and swing. When you enter through the front door, you'll enter the living room, with a leather sofa with dual reclining ends. Both ends also has USB chargers. There's an end table with lamp, and games found in the drawer and at the bottom. In the corner is a 70's acoustic guitar and picks are found on the coffee table. There are two ottomans for your use and 2 lounge leather chairs. There's a 42” smart TV available for your enjoyment where you can log into your own personal accounts (just remember to log back out before your check out) or stream from YouTube, Sling, or Tubi without needing to sign into an account. The first bedroom has a queen mattress, two end tables with USB's to charge phones, and the headboard has reading lights attached. The closet has additional games and puzzles to play. There is also an ironing board, an iron, and hangers for clothes. The second bedroom has a queen mattress with a headboard that has two lamps on them. There is a side table with drawer and luggage rack for use. The closet in the 2nd bedroom is locked. The kitchen has a concrete countertop, large sink, and pull-out sprayer for use. Help yourself to many spices and cooking utensils available. The dining table is a pub style that seats four. There is a new stainless-steel appliance set (refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher) for your usage. There is a coffee/tea bar with creamer, sugar, coffee cups, water kettle, and 2 different coffee pots. There is birdseed on the counter if you'd like to take it down to any of the several feeders on the property to watch the birds from the front porch or back balcony. The fire extinguisher is under the kitchen sink and first aid kit is in the pantry cabinet if needed. The bathroom has a compact washer/dryer set for your use. Remember to bring your own laundry cleaner. It also has a bathtub/shower, large sink, feminine items and shampoo, as well as a blow dryer in the cabinet drawer for use. There is a back balcony that has 4 rocking chairs. There is metal bucket with a rope for luring items down to the firepit or for a cookout. It's quite handy and saves steps of going all the way around! Underneath is the patio with table and chairs. There is a cigarette bucket and is the designated location if smoking/vaping. Please make sure all butts go into the can and are put out completely. Vaping must also be done outside, but from anywhere. There is a 24/7 smoke detector machine inside the cabin that can monitor if smoking of any kind is detected. Off of the patio area is a firepit with seating, a picnic table, and charcoal grill (please bring your own charcoal) and purchase local firewood to prevent disease, or feel free to pick up sticks or wood that’s available on the property for a fire. There are 2 carbon monoxide detectors and multiple fire alarms inside. * Please remember this is a cabin, surrounded by woods, in rural KY Appalachia. It is possible to encounter bugs, snakes, bears, other wildlife, roosters & outdoor dogs barking. LONG BOW BOAT RAMP (Direct Access to Cave run lake) 4 miles/7 minutes BEAVER CREEK BOAT RAMP (Cave run lake) 4.7 miles/10 minutes BROKE LEG FALLS 7.3 miles/13 minutes MOREHEAD 19.7 miles/26 minutes Trails, restaurants, brewery, liquor stores, bakeries, and more can be found there. RED RIVER GORGE 19.5 miles/32 minutes The Red River Gorge of Kentucky includes the Red River Gorge Geological Area, Clifty Wilderness Area, and Natural Bridge State Park. With more than 100 arches, towering sandstone cliffs, waterfalls, and old-growth forests, it is easy to see why it has been designated a National Geological Area, National Natural Landmark, and National Archeological District. Red River Gorge is famous for its rock climbing, and there are well over 500 miles hiking trails. NATURAL BRIDGE; SLADE, KY (In Red River Gorge) 26.5 miles/45 minutes Guest access The entire inside of the cabin is for your use, except the second bedroom's closet. The basement and barn are also not for guest's usage, but feel free to enjoy any of the outside property. Other things to note 1 dog is allowed, but you must pick up after your dog and dispose of it in the trash cans near the road. The dog is also not allowed on the furniture and there is a 55 lb. weight limit since this is a very small cabin. When exiting the driveway, stay to the right to avoid scraping the bottom of your vehicle and avoid ruts and trees when backing up so that you do not get stuck or cause damage.
