Your hill climb pay-off. LOCATION ❁ Location: The Casa is located above the Plaza on Gringo Hill, which is the very steep hill directly behind the plaza. It overlooks downtown Sayulita. The Plaza is a 3-min walk, the main beach and surf break is another 2 minutes. ❁ Nighttime Noise: Please reconsider if you'd like to avoid downtown noise at night. Leyenda is removed to a high perch above the Plaza, but the thump of Sayulita night-life floats up, especially during Carnaval, Easter and Christmas. Closing windows helps to block the noise, and we provide earplugs and white noise machines to help out. ❁ Hill Climb: Please reconsider if mobility is a challenge. The one-block walk back from the Plaza is steep rugged cobblestone, and is followed by flights of stairs. ❁ The trade-off is convenience to downtown and easy access to the main surf-break (literally a 3-4 min walk). Restaurants and cafes are just steps away. Downtown is at your fingertips and is brimming with beautiful boutiques and dining experiences. Taxis for extra-Sayulita trips are right on the Plaza. The main beach is directly below Leyenda on the same street, just 3 blocks. CASA LEYENDA SPACE ❁ Bedrooms: The flat has two large bedrooms, which have air-conditioning (1-ton AC units), king-size beds, and en-suite bathrooms. Luxury linens promise comfort, and each room is decorated with richly-colored Mexican textiles and art. The master bedroom has sweeping ocean views, and accesses the ocean-view terrace. The second bedroom has peek-a-boo ocean views; it has less direct sunlight, so is perfect for sleeping. ❁ Ocean-View Terrace: The terrace has a view that sweeps across the Plaza and onto the ocean. It is furnished for dining, and has a gas grill. It is accessed via the master bedroom. ❁ Kitchen: The kitchen is fullly equipped, and is a beautiful place to be creative. Block-style skylights above brighten this space with filtered, natural light. A counter-top bar invites friends to sit and chat, and you’ll find high-end cookware, pottery dishes, and beautiful blue glassware. The kitchen is equipped with a full-size refrigerator & freezer, oven, gas stove, microwave, blender, toaster, and drip coffee maker. A shared 1/2 bath near the kitchen is conveniently located for common use. ❁ Living area & Loft bed: The living area has air conditioning (3-ton AC unit) and is continuous with the kitchen. It has a large dining table that accommodates 6-8 people. The couch is made with custom cushions and beautiful pillows to sink into, and a loft functions as an added sleeping area. The carpentry of the loft (ladder, rails and shelving) is hand-built with quality wood and quality workmanship. It is a beautiful nook with a twin-size bed. Together with curtains and star-lights, it becomes a dreamy frame for any child’s imagination. A built-in fan keeps it comfortably cool. This sleeping space is accommodated by the nearby 1/2 bath. ❁ Carport and garden: A carport is available to park a car, or to park and charge a golf cart, and to store surfboards. The path from the carport to the house traverses a small garden, which is packed with banana, papaya, heliconia of all types, exotic plants and flowers. As a result, it attracts hummingbirds, chachalacas, and parrots. INTERNET ❁ Fiber-Optic Internet: Wifi speeds are 40 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload. The network connection is dedicated to the Casa and is exclusive to guest use only. Expect solid video conferencing and uninterrupted performance. Guest access – Guests have access to the entire Casa, Terrace, Garden and Car Port. – The car port entry and exterior stair is shared with guests at Casita Leyenda. Casita Leyenda is located a flight of stairs above the Casa. – Expect guest traffic past the Casa (stairs leading to Casita) when the Casita is occupied. – Carport parking and the charging station are dedicated to Casa guests exclusively. – If you need additional sleeping space, ask us about renting Casita Leyenda. It is a free-standing studio apartment located one flight of stairs up. It has a king-size bed and also a couch that will sleep an additional adult. It has spectacular views from the patio and expansive roof-top deck. It is also the hottest time of the year. Heat and thunder storms (spectacular to see) put a heavy burden on the maturing infrastructure of Sayulita. Demands on restricted resources cause water shortages and power outages. There are always work-arounds, but just be aware of a degree of unpredictability during the hot and rainy season. – Alterations: Please note that we don't accept alteration requests that shorten the reservation when less than 45 days from the check-in date. When less than 45 days to check-in, the listing cancelation policy (50% refund) applies to cancelled dates in the reservation. – Cancellation: Please be sure you're ok with our cancellation policy. We are happy to rent our vacation home to you, but we cannot also insure your travel against unexpected trip cancellations and trip interruptions.
