Stay at Pineta, a beautiful 18th century farm

Stay in a unique accommodation 1050 meters from the nearest beach. The house is from the 18th century with many historical details such as ceiling paintings, beautiful stone stairs and original furniture. The apartment offers a fantastic terrace overlooking a landscape of olive, citrus trees and sea. The house has been renovated with care and can be described as more than just a house. It is an oasis and a place to meet new friends and experience the original Liguria. In Pineta there are several accommodations and a restaurant. The space The house, Pineta, is enclosed by a wall with gates in the middle of the Diano Bay with Diano Marina to the west and Cervo to the east. Diano Marina is a nice little lively village with several beaches, lots of restaurants and a lovely nightlife. The road up to Pineta is narrow in places and winds around the old medieval terraces, as it is in Liguria. The property itself is a so-called Villa Padronale with many different buildings and outbuildings, and what is rented out is a floor with an associated kitchen, bathroom and terrace one floor up. There are three bedrooms with a double bed in each room. The host couple can occasionally live in a separate, lower floor but have their own entrance and guests have the feeling of having the house to themselves. On the ground floor, there is a so-called home restaurant. Chef Franco serves pre-ordered guests a few days a week. The restaurant contributes to a nice atmosphere while Franco is close by if anything is needed. If you want to learn how to cook pasta, have an olive oil tasting or taste different local wines, just say so. The magic of the property is the whole. The alley, the big cast iron gates, the bougainvillea, the rosemary - yes, everything. Guest access On the ground floor there is a restaurant where you book tables in advance. The chef Franco is open 3-4 days a week but rarely later than 11 pm. You are of course welcome to book a table at Franco's. Few places in Liguria have such good food and few chefs have such a warm heart as Franco. Please ask for his own limoncello. Franco can also arrange an evening where he will teach you how to make your own pasta, for example. Pineta, i.e. the property, is a place where history meets the present and where the apartment is suitable for adults, or adults with older children. You should appreciate the murmur of a restaurant, the gas from the sun on the terrace and being in the middle of a living building. From the balcony and the rooms on the floor you have sea views. It is obscured a little by the highway that goes on the bridge over Monade Santa Lucia (see photo), however, we do not think it bothers us. There is no air conditioning but the location, the thick walls and the gentle breeze that blows through the house means that it is not needed - the house stays cool. The road up to Pineta is narrow in places. It winds around the old medieval terraces, as it is in Liguria where the olive trees grow in the sun and in the lee of the mighty mountains.
