Lakefront Family-Friendly Cottage on Trails

Four-season family-friendly cottage on 2.5 acres of natures best including wooded trails and a private lakefront and Hottub. Summer: Situated on 156-feet of lakefront. The lake is shallow and warm, perfect for families to enjoy. Equipped with a BBQ, Two fire pits and a lakeside beach shack for guests enjoyment. 30 Minutes from Barrie, Midland, and Orillia. ~ 75-minutes north of the GTA. Winter: Bonfires, frozen lake, direct access to OFSC Trails. Short drive to four well known ski resorts. The space The cozy new cottage has 1500-square-feet of living space (built in 2019) with all required amenities. THE MAIN FLOOR: • Kitchen: is large and fully equipped with an electric stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, Tassimo & Kurig coffee makers, basic cooking utensils (pots/pans/baking sheets/mixing bowls/spoons etc). • Dining Area: has a table with 4 chairs (2 additional folding chairs available). Outdoor seating space on the walkout deck and walkout basement. • Livingroom: is small and has a leather couch and loveseat with recliners, a Fireplace and SmartTV with satellite and internet included. • Master bedroom: has a comfortable queen size bed (on an adjustable frame, elevate head or foot of bed), a dresser, and a walk in closet with hangers to store luggage and clothing. Has a TV with Bluray/DVD player, with access to Netflix/YouTube • Bathroom: has a large soaker tub with lots of storage space. • Laundry: full-sized washer and dryer in unit for guests to use. THE WALKOUT BASEMENT: • Livingroom: Equipped with a larger living room including a new pull-out queen sofa bed with a new tempurpedic mattress. A Fireplace and SmartTV. With HDMI hookup (if guest wants to bring game console) . • Alcove: basement alcove area has twin bunk beds great for children or small adult • Bedroom: has a comfortable pillow-top queen bed a large closet and a dresser for clothing. • Bathroom: has a large walk-in shower with rainshower & massage water settings and is equipped with an in shower bench. • Patio: with a Natural Gas BBQ for guests private use. Located on the lower level patio of the cottage. COTTAGE SUPPLIES: - All linens including bedding, pillows, blankets, and bath towels are provided. - Beach towels. - Basic cooking supplies including pots/pans, plates, glasses, bowls, utensils, mugs etc. - There is a natural gas BBQ and BBQ utensils for private guest use.. - Basic cleaning supplies for your stay included a vacuum. OUTDOOR SUPPLIES: • Hot Tub right outside your back door. Two Fire Pits, Lower pit is near the lake, second fire pit is close to the cottage nestled beside the woods. : there are wooden log benches for seating as well as some folding chairs. Firewood is provided. In a secluded wooded area with lakefront view. LED Lights for nighttime entertainment. • The Lake: Guests have access to one paddle-board, 2 Kayak’s, water loungers, and pool noodles, a large 3 seater tube/water lounger. Children's sand toys and a water table for toddlers. Lounge chairs along the lakefront and a hammock. Great fishing directly off the dock (bring your own rods). A select number of lifejackets are available as needed (please inquire). • The Beach Shack: located directly on the water, you will find a beautiful 12X16 foot beach shack, previously a boathouse. Equipped with a large rustic bench dining table, a reclining chair, and countertop for daytime meals in the shade, or evening activities. • Boat Storage: for guests bringing a boat you will have access to dock storage during your stay.. A public boat launch is about a 5 minute drive from the property across the lake. ** FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN ** - Pack & Play crib in cottage with a firm mattress and linens for use. Additional available inside the beach shack. - All outlets are protected with covers. - Baby gate to block the stairs. - High-chair (available on request) - Children's shade-tent for outdoor use at the lake. - Baby bath available in unit. - Please contact if you feel you may need something else that we may be able to supply. THINGS TO DO LOCALLY: Summer: Located a 15-minute drive to world renowned Wasaga Beach. Local attractions include: 10-30 minute drive to the Elmvale Jungle Zoo, Rounds Ranch, Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre (hiking), Wasaga Go Karts, Hardwood Hills (Bike trails), Treetop Trekking at Horseshoe resort. Small town shopping in Elmvale. A 5-25 minute drive to numerous golf courses including: Orr Lake Golf Club, Horseshoe Resort, Simoro Golf Links, Springwater Golf Course, Brooklea Golf Club, Marlwood Golf & Country Club. And much more. Winter: Centrally located and surrounded by numerous fantastic Ski Resorts including: A 15-minute drive to both Mount Saint Louis Moonstone and Horseshoe Resort. 25-minutes to Snow Valley Resort, and 55-minutes to Blue Mountain Resort. Great cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at Hardwood Hills and Wasaga Nordic and Trail Centre. Access to Ontario's wide network of snowmobile trails directly across the street from the cottage property. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire private cottage. They will also have access to the entire owner shared outdoor property including the lakeside beach shack, the children's outdoor play area and the lakefront. Other things to note The owner's share the property and live in a home on the property year round. Their home is across the driveway from the cottage. The owner's have two small dogs (Kodiak a tiny goldendoodle and Casha a Bichon-poodle). They also have two adult daughters with dogs and young children who visit the property. The lakefront area is shared with the hosts however, privacy will be respected. The hosts grandchildren (5 year old and 3 year old) also love to visit.
