Sleeping six (max 4 adults) it's a great getaway for families & friends. This modern cabin built in 2019 is equipped for year-round occupancy with log burner, heating, and decking to enjoy the views. Wi-fi, parking, drying room, bike store. The space At Wildwood we offer cosy yet contemporary accommodation in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Visit to enjoy spectacular untamed wilderness combined with comfort and relaxation. Wildwood is self-contained and has its own private driveway, deck and garden area by the burn (stream) for your enjoyment. The cabin has three bedrooms, consisting of a principle bedroom with double-bed, built-in wardrobes and private shower and WC, guest bedroom (suitable for two adults), with two single beds and built-in wardrobe, and a guest bedroom (suitable for two children), with two bunkbeds and built-in wardrobe, which all share a family bathroom with bath/shower combination. There is a large kitchen/dining/living area with patio doors out onto the deck. In the living area there is a log burner to enjoy on colder nights, although all rooms have their own electric heaters. There is a Smart TV enabled with Netflix, Amazon Prime and BBC Iplayer for use with your own log-ins however no terrestrial TV. We also have a large collection of DVDs and DVD player. There is also a washing machine in the cabin and a dryer located in the shed drying room, which is near the cabin. Location: The cabin is in a remote wilderness area along a 5mile (8km) paved single track road. The nearest village (Invergarry) is about 10 miles (16km) away. The location is equally suited for guests wishing to tour the area and for those who are looking to truly get away from it all. Close to the cabin there is a good network of forest tracks and paths, plus several munros, for walking, hiking or biking right here in the glen. Bring your canoes and you can navigate the rapids of the river Garry which is close by. There are also great walks by the river through enchanted and ancient forests that lead to magical waterfalls. More watersports and boat hire are available at Laggan, which is about 20 a minute drive on Loch Oich/Loch Lochy. Nearby to The Great Glen, Wildwood is an ideal location if you wish to explore the Highland highlights of; the Isle of Skye, Eilean Donan Castle, Loch Ness, Ben Nevis and Glencoe, all of which can be visited during a week-long trip. Guest access Entire cabin, private driveway and parking area, garden area Other things to note Due to the remoteness of the location, we recommend all guests buy groceries before arriving at the cabin. If you are traveling from the South then we recommend stopping in Fort William where you can find an M&S Foodhall, Aldi, Lidl, and Morrisons. If you are traveling from the North then we recommend stopping in Inverness where you can find Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and an M&S Foodhall in the town centre. In Drumnadrochit there is a small Co-op store. In Fort Augustus and Spean Bridge you can find a small SPAR store. Grocery deliveries can be ordered for home delivery from Morrisons, Tesco, and Asda. Use the address Larchwood, Inchlaggan, Invergarry and add an instruction to deliver to the holiday cabin. Note, time slots for deliveries can be difficult to get, so we recommend making orders a few weeks before you arrive. For those interested in fishing check out Black Sheep Adventures website.
