No need to bring your tent. Nestle in to this simple sleeping bunkie. An incredibly comfortable mattress, with the fire pit and river front right off the front deck. Shared flushing out house a short walk away, and a convenient out door sink & small propane bbq, adjacent to your bunkie. Perfect for a simple, back to nature retreat. Bring your food, drinks, lawn chairs & bbq for a great stay. - perfect for paddling canoes/kayaks. Please note, there are no public showers on the Premis The space The Bunkie has electricity, and wifi... if you need it. The 2 fire pits are shared, and the cedar fire-wood is sold on site for $8/bundle. (Please, protect our forests & do not transport firewood) The flushing out-house and sink are shared. Please note, there are no public showers on the premises Guest access The two fire pits, the doc, and the flushing outhouse are shared. A new shared screened in porch is the perfect spot to be under cover if the weather is not cooperating During your stay You're hosts are usually available in one of the adjacent campers. A maximum of 6 campers & 2 cottages on the site, or you may have the property to yourself, it will depend on your dates ;) Other things to note The bunkie is one level above a tent ;). You'll be off the ground, on a super comfortable mattress, in a non insulated, lovely bunkie. You will need to bring with you your cutlery, dishes, towels and dish linens, flash light, coolers and cooking utensils... all that you would need if you were staying in a tent. We do provide: - Outdoor cold water sink & counter surface & dish soap - Small propane bar-b-q with tank, lighter, a frying pan & cooking utensils - Small heater & fan - grill to top the fire pit - linens & pillows on the bed - Electric Kettle - Charging ports - Flushing out house with cold water sink & hand soap - fire wood for purchase (paper & kindling complimentary) Thompson's General store is a short 5km drive, and they have everything but alcohol. Harcourt would be the closest liquor store. The closest restaurant is in Rexton/Richibucto, at least 20 min drive. The river is tidal, so water shoes are highly recommend. Please know, there are no public showers on the property We respectfully ask that no wood is brought on to the property to prevent spread of insect diseases.
