Welcome to Karkkila, the pearl of Uusimaa! The winter-warm mini-house offers a comfortable night's sleep. Here you can see the starry sky and often the northern lights. Karkkila combines a special nature and culture - rapids, nature trails, lean-tos. Kaurismäki movie theater Kino Laika and Ala-Emal's ironworks area serve wonderful experiences and history. You can find yoga, sound bowl treatments, take a dip in the Karjaanjoki river from the Uunisauna with refreshments, and enjoy the theater. The mini-house has easy access to hiking destinations and shelters. The space In the mini-house, you are guaranteed a good night's sleep in the tranquility of nature. In clear weather, the starry sky can be seen from the high windows. The rustling of old evergreens and the singing of birds relax the hiker. The mini-house is well insulated, warm in winter and stays well over 20 degrees even in freezing temperatures. Towels and linen are available at the time of booking, at a price of 10e. There are places for two people to sleep: one single bed and the other a mattress spread on the floor and an 8cm thick memory foam mattress. This plot has a special nature: a special forest is home to several rare plant, bird and beetle species, which is why it is protected. If you take this 200-meter forest path to the shore of the Karjaanjoki river, you will see the fairy-tale home beach of the dragonflies, which is also part of this plot. On the shores of the river you can fish for trout, for example. A stone's throw away you will find the Maijalankoski hut where you can make a fire on the shore of the enchanting river. Also very close is Lemmoinvuori with its lean-tos, whose landscapes rival the northern peaks. Karkkila has the highest mountains in Uusimaa, Alhovuori and Ruuhilampi, and these landscapes are not to be compared to Koli. There are several nature trails that beautifully meander from the center of town to Pitkälänkoski and many other nature sites. The plot has previously had organic farming and is still full of vitality that you can feel. In the poetic birch grove behind the mini-house, it is good to slow down and do some walking meditation. The picturesque countryside of Vihdintie is a beautiful walking route in all seasons. Ask for an offer for 2 weeks or longer, for example, for telecommuting. You have access to the entire mini-house, private entrance, yard, garden furniture, nature reserve, one bed, one soft extra mattress with memory foam (beds for two people), a freezer toilet and a mini-kitchen with a fridge and freezer, as well as board games. Guest access You can move freely in the nature reserve and on the plot. On foot you can reach many nearby hiking destinations - Lemmoinvuori, Maijalankoski, Myllykoski waterfall, etc. Hiking maps are available to the guest. Walking poles are also available for rent. The guest also has access to a key to the heated changing rooms at the Pyhäjärvi swimming area, which is open all year round, and there is also a well-maintained ice hole in winter. In Karkkila you will find, for example, an extensive frisbee golf course, free volleyball and tennis courts in Pyhäjärvi, as well as rowing boats for rent, all of which can be booked on the city's website or at the tourist information center. Other things to note Beds: One bed is a bed with a spring mattress and the other is an 8 cm thick folding mattress with a moldable Memory foam (6 cm) mattress. Mobile internet connections are excellent and upon request we will also leave the Wi-Fi at your disposal. During the summer, there is a hiking shower. In winter, we recommend a visit to the adventure sauna in Uuni, which is 3 km from the plot in the Ala-Emali cultural center. The freezer toilet is in the same space in the mini house, behind the sauna. Is it a threat or an opportunity? You decide. The toilet itself is odorless and nice, and has not frozen anyone's butt yet. Drinking water is available inside. There is no running water inside the mini-house, but there are sockets, a sink and ceiling lights, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, heating, etc., and a clean freezer toilet. The water point is next to the mini-house. There are 2 radiators for heating that can be used all year round. Parking is free, the parking lot can accommodate 2-3 passenger cars. The plot has several hammocks where you can spend the night in the middle of nature in a beautiful birch forest.
