Discover castles and historic towns. The space The shepherds hut is a simple hut, with everything in one space. Ideal for couples, it contains a small double bed, comfy chairs along with a log burner, camping stove, and sink, with cold running water. There is a separate toilet, and shower a short walk from the hut. You have your own deck, with chairs, and a BBQ for those warm nights. We supply bedding, tea towel, cutlery, pots, pans and basic crockery. We supply tea, coffee and sugar, as well as washing up liquid and sponge. There isn’t any Wi-Fi or TV, but 4G and signal are reasonable in the area depending on your network, and we do have USB plugs in the hut for you to charge phones or devices. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the field the hut is in, and also walk around our farm on the track provided. Binoculars are a must to spot birds and other wildlife, and when dark the stars are beautiful as we are in a dark sky area. There is a dedicated parking area for your car. We do ask guests to respect we are a working farm, so not to open gates or wander in other areas without asking first, just in case it is an unsafe area. Other things to note Because we have our own dogs that have free roam of the farm we can’t accept pets in the hut. Our livestock would also become very stressed by the presence of a strange dog. If guests are not comfortable with our dogs we can ensure they do not come and bother you, just let us know in advance.
