Our apartment is in a residence resort Holiday Maiyaan, located in Dhamni Village, Karjat. Isolated & surrounded by nature & hills, it is a perfect homestay, away from the hustle & bustle of city life. The 3 adjacent studios, Scenic Solitude, Hilltop Hideaway & Whispering Waterfall are ideal for a group of up to 9-10 people. These can be booked individually or together under the listing The Great Escape. Each studio can sleep max 3 adults / 2 adults & 2 kids (1 kid under 10 is free). The space Inside the resort • The room keys will be provided by our caretaker Nitin. There is no self-check-in or check-out option. • The parking lot is near the entrance. You may drop your luggage near the A2 building and then go to park the car/ bike in the designated area. • Common amenities include a swimming pool and badminton court which are accessible to all guests of Holiday Maiyaan. Connectivity • Airtel mobile signal works in the area. Jio works but network is not so good. VI network is very poor. • Each apartment has a separate Wi-Fi connection. The Wi-Fi works except in case of occasional outages. Inside the apartments • Check-in time is 1 PM and checkout at 11 AM the next day. • Early check-in or late checkout may be allowed for an extra charge, if possible. Please discuss the same with us in advance. • Our apartments are in A2 building on the 1st floor. The pics of the apartments are in the pages below. • Each apartment is ~240 sqft. In addition, there is a balcony of ~60 sqft with a dining table and chairs. • Each apartment has a Queen bed & Sofa bed. • Each apartment has all the basic amenities – AC, min-fridge, kettle, cutlery, toiletries, etc. • Induction stove and cooking vessels like saucepan & fry pan will be provided on request. • A microwave oven can also be arranged on prior request. • We provide tea/ coffee sachets and a kettle. • Badminton racquets will be provided on request. • We provide guests 2 bottles of packaged water per day. Additional bottles can be carried by the guests or purchased from the restaurant in the resort. • Our apartments do not have a private pool. • Our TVs have OTT platforms to enable our guests to watch movies and web series using their own logins. • Please note that we are in a rural area there may be power cuts/ low voltage. In such cases, the inverter will provide sufficient power for Wi-Fi, lights, and fan for a few hours. However, AC, microwave, mini fridge, induction stove, kettle and boiler will not work on inverter. • The resort is in a green zone & there may be insects around, especially in evening / night. The French windows have mosquito nets to keep them out. We also provide mosquito repellents in case needed. • For extra pillows or blankets or consumables like handwash, etc please contact the caretaker before 7PM. • The switchboard near the main door has a switch for the tube light which is a dual light – white and yellow. You can toggle between the 2 modes using the switch as per your preference. • The switch for the lamp and fan is next to the bed and above the sofa. • The switch for stabilizer for the AC is next to the curtains along with the switch for the balcony lights. AC can be switched on only after stabilizer shows ‘LO’. • The remote for AC and TV would be either on the TV shelf or in the side-table drawer. Food • We do not provide food service in our package. • However, there are options that we are mentioning here. • There is a restaurant on the campus, run independently by the developer. o This restaurant has a limited menu - both veg and non-veg (chicken) is served. o Food is prepared fresh, so please order at least 45 minutes beforehand. o Room service charges are applicable if food is to be delivered to the room. o Guests are requested to place the order directly with the restaurant and eat at the restaurant. Even if food is to be ordered to the room, please co-ordinate directly. Our caretaker may facilitate the order placement if you give him proper written instructions. This is to prevent any confusion which has led to inconvenience to guests in the past. o The restaurant serves tasty and reasonably priced Indian food. The restaurant also serves some Chinese dishes; however, we recommend that you go for the authentic food which is their forte. o The restaurant staff may be able to customize the menu if discussed with them in advance. If you get the raw essentials, like say fish, they can cook/ fry them for a charge (if discussed in advance with them). o Since this is a Homestay, restaurant hours are limited to the following: Breakfast: 9am – 12 noon, Lunch: 1pm – 3:30pm, Dinner: 7:30pm – 9:30pm o The restaurant will be closed on Tuesdays for lunch and dinner. If you are staying on a Tuesday then we suggest you have lunch on the way and dinner can be arranged for you by our caretaker from Kashele/ Ambivali for a charge. o Alcohol is not served / sold in the restaurant; however, you can get your own supply and consume in the room. • There are 2-3 dine-in/ delivery options for food. Our caretaker will provide you the details, if required. Guest access The property contains facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant run independently by the developer (charged separately), parking space. During your stay My caretaker will be available for any requests, except at odd hours. You can also contact me on phone if any clarification needed. Other things to note Our apartment is amidst nature, so food left outside may invite insects. Airtel and Jio numbers have network in the area. Wi-Fi facility is available. A Smart TV offers various OTT platforms during your stay. The apartment can accommodate 4 persons. Extra mattress is available on request and chargeable. The property is far from groceries and other shops, around 15 min, so we suggest you get all the required essential items before coming. There may be unpredictable power cuts in the area. We have inverter facility with necessary lights & fan connections. Please use it judiciously to prolong the power backup in case of extended power outages. Our space is not pet friendly. There is no lift, so property may not be suitable for seniors. Location You can reach Maiyaan by car or bike. There are rickshaws & taxis available from Karjat/ Neral station, but the distance is ~24-25 km. Rickshaws charge ~Rs 500-600 one way and taxis Rs 700-800 one-way. The resort is ~11 km off the Karjat-Murbad state highway (turn is about 4-5 km after Kadav and before Kashele). Look for Holiday Maiyaan Cloud_Residence on Maps FOOD Restaurant kitchen timings – Last order for lunch: 2pm, snacks order: 5-7pm, last order for dinner: 7:30pm. So please order accordingly. You can also eat at dhabas like Nisarg dhaba, etc which are 20 mins away by car / bike. The restaurant is closed for lunch and dinner on Tuesdays. If you plan to stay on Tuesday we suggest you have lunch on the way. Our caretaker can fetch dinner for you from Kashele/ Ambivali for a delivery charge.
