Description
Cottage annex is all yours & we would encourage you to relax in our garden which is filled with treeferns. The garden has been featured on BBC Gardeners World & is frequently on Welsh tv ‘Garddio a Mwy’. The main cottage has been featured on Welsh house style programme ‘Dan Do’ as well as Channel 4s A Place in the Sun: Home or Away. It is a small cottage and garden; we love it & hope you will too! Check out our Grade II listed cottage on Anglesey & House in woodland /waterfalls, both on Airbnb The space We added the annex to our cottage to afford us more living space and you would have the whole annex to yourselves. We hope the photos do it justice. While there are no cooking facilities there is a tiny drinks fridge, coffee machine and kettle in a room downstairs. Both the telly in the bedroom and the projector in the living room allow for tv on demand via an Amazon fire tv stick (see photo of screen down & garden on BBC Gardener’s World 😉) The living room is spacious and looks out onto the back garden. (We kindly ask that you do not plug anything directly into the projector) While the projector is ideal of an evening it’s very difficult to watch on a sunny day as the sun shines on the projector screen making viewing difficult A river runs alongside the back garden. If you stay in the winter you can hear the river. We love sitting on the bench with a coffee or a glass of something to relax and often see dippers fly past. The last photograph shows the view from the top of the hill behind the cottage, looking over towards Conwy. A few important things to note before you book which may also be mentioned elsewhere in this listing: The ladder to the bedroom is VERY steep. It’s really is a ladder! So please be aware of this prior to booking - you need to be agile and once up there, there is very limited headroom (see photos). There is a small chest of drawers for storage. Please note that there are no cooking facilities and no dining table, other than the tea and coffee provisions mentioned earlier. I’m afraid that no cooking equipment may be used inside the property. On a sunny day sunlight hits the projector screen making viewing difficult. It’s ideal for when the sun has set or if cloudy. There’s also a tv in the bedroom 👍 The cottage is warmed by an air source heat pump, keeping it comfortable throughout your stay. The heating is set to maintain 16°C during the day and a cosy 20°C from 3pm–9pm, when you’re most likely to be relaxing indoors. Please note that the heating runs automatically and there is no physical thermostat for guests to adjust. Accommodation is limited to two persons only for your comfort. Guest access The entire annex is yours for your stay. We would lock the door leading to the main cottage but are usually available on site should you need anything. While we state the garden is shared we would respect your privacy and would only use the front garden during your stay. You would also be welcome to use the front garden as well as it gets more sun. As the main door to the cottage would be yours, we would just need to access the rear garden to get into our side of the cottage via the back door. There is a possibility that you may get disturbed by the postman or occasional Amazon delivery that may come to the front door… Parking: Please park on the drive. We have rearranged pots and knocked a small wall down so two cars can now park on the drive alongside each other, allowing us to charge our car in the evenings. We have added a photo to the listing and it would be greatly appreciated if you can park WHERE THE MINI IS IN THE PHOTO so we can charge our other car. Thank you. If your car won’t fit there you may be able to park near the bus stop by the bridge. A camper van such as a VW transporter wouldn’t fit on the drive I’m afraid. Other things to note Please note that the ladder to the bedroom is very steep. You need to be agile! Also there is limited headroom in the bedroom. A thermostat is on the wall next to the green door allowing you to control the heating. While the thermostat dial goes to 30degrees that temperature is unachievable; the maximum temperature would be around 21degrees. We own a labradoodle called Celyn. He used to be a therapy dog at my school and he may bark when he first hears you arrive. He then quietens down . I’m afraid we don’t allow dogs as he just wouldn’t settle. You are welcome to meet him and say hello if you wish. We welcome dogs in our other Airbnbs. We also have a Devon Rex cat that may pop in through your door if left open to say hello.
