A Restful Retreat 615 John Green Rd. Jonesborough TN, USA A quiet retreat in a lovely home on the corner of a quiet cul-de-sac in Jonesborough, TN . Enter via a private entrance into a large room with fireplace, sofas, chairs, bookcases, coffee maker, microwave & refrigerator, TV, VCR, wifi & games . The bathroom has towels & toiletries . toilet & a large walk-shower. The large bedroom has a queen bed, night tables, lamps, clock, chest of drawers, a mirror, chair & lighted closet. The space You will enter into a large, comfortably appointed room with a fireplace with sitting area, bookcases and further on a spacious area with two sofas, coffee table and a rocking chair with foot stool. Although there is not a kitchenette, there is a sideboard with coffee maker and supplies, (coffee, tea, sugar and sweetener), a microwave and a dorm size refrigerator. There is ample storage for all supplies needed (such as cups, plates, cutlery, etc.). Since our tap water does not make the best coffee and/or tea there is bottled water in the refrigerator and cabinet of the sideboard. There are also condiments and creamer, and bottled water in the refrigerator. There are additional kitchen supplies in the cabinet There is a TV, VCR and wifi. There are also games in the console located between the bookcases. Turning left and proceeding down the hall the second door on the right is the bathroom with sink, cabinet and mirror The bathroom is simply and tastefully decorated with all the towels and toiletries (such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion) in case you forget anything at home. You step down into area with the toilet and a large, lighted walk-in shower. There are extra hand towels and wash cloths on the shelf above the hand towel bar and extra bath towels in the cabinet above the toilet. There is also a first aid kit and other necessary items in the cabinet under the sink. Continuing straight on brings you into the spacious and well appointed bedroom with queen size bed, night tables with lamps and storage. There is a clock on one night table which has a built in charging station and also a flash light There is also a chest of drawers, a cabinet and mirror, a comfortable chair and a large, lighted closet with hangers. A sit on storage chest at the foot of the bed contains extra blankets. The light switch in the bedroom is a dimmer switch so you may adjust the light intensity up or down to suit your preference. Guest access The guest accommodations are easily accessed from the private driveway and guest parking along a stepping stone pathway in the yard at the back of the property and lead you to the private entrance with a private sitting area just to the right of the door. The pathway is lighted in the evening should you arrive after dark. ** Should you be arriving during inclement weather (rain, snow, etc.) please let us know and we will arrange for you to come in through our garage into our kitchen and proceed down the stairs to the guest accommodations so that you do not have to take the path to the private entry in the rain or snow. Other things to note Additional information Upon arrival you will find freshly baked signature Morning Glory Muffins to enjoy either for breakfast or a welcome snack. (These muffins contain coconut, raisins and nuts. If you prefer, other choices are available by request. Most popular are apple cinnamon, vanilla, lemon (with or without coconut or blueberries) and pumpkin spice in the fall. You will find a guest information book on the coffee table that contains a copy of the house rules, the bathroom Precaution sign and other information such as restaurants (most menus can be found online.) and information about local attractions and activities. There is a first aid kit and feminine supplies in the right hand side of the cabinet under the bathroom sink. Cleaning supplies are located in the left had side. Extra towels are located in the cabinet above the toilet. Extra toilet paper in located in the “tower”: of the toilet paper holder Extra blankets are located in the storage chest at the foot of the bed. We clean only with non-toxic cleaners before and after each visit and linens are washed with non-toxic laundry detergent. Only the best for our guests! We do reside in the rest of the house so you will hear us walking about at times but otherwise, we will give you your privacy! We hope you enjoy your stay with us.
