Cozy Lakefront Cottage at Claytor Lake/ New River

Welcome to your home away from home. This cozy lake cottage is a small but spacious home right on the lake. Great place to gather with family, friends, or a couple’s relaxing getaway. Bring your fishing gear, lake floats, and kayaks to enjoy with your own private dock. Relax around the fire pit in the evenings watching the beautiful sunset over the water. Location: Minutes to I-81 Great for Virginia Tech or Radford University events and families. Minutes to New River Trail entry point. The space Cozy Lakefront Cottage: Enjoy the open concept of living area and dining room that gives full view of the lake. Kitchen is off the living area and is fully stocked for preparing meals. The first bedroom has a queen bed. Second bedroom has a queen bed and futon. Third room is a bunk room with one set of twin bunks; this room is a walk-in room and does not have a shut off door to entry. It is truly a bunk room and is perfect for children of all ages. All bedrooms have a smart TV with great WiFi for streaming all of your favorites. Bathroom has a walk in standing shower. **Note to guest*** Access to the home requires use of steps leading from parking area. Steps are pictured. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any concerns or questions with access information. Guest access Guest have access to the private dock. Great spot for fishing and all other lake activities . In the evening, gather around the fire pit by the lake or relax on the covered side patio while grilling out. Enjoy a walk or bicycle ride on the New River Trail which has entrance access just minutes down the road from our home. Visit local favorites just minutes away. Draper Valley Golf Club - 8 mile drive Draper Mercantile - 5 minute drive Spinning Jenny Vineyard - 5 minute drive New River Trail - 5 minute drive Claytor Lake State Park - 14mile drive Other things to note The home is at the end of a narrow, one way private road, which must be driven slowly with awareness of oncoming traffic in which case there are plenty of areas to pull to the side. Parking allows for three vehicles. There are steps leading down to the home from parking area and three steps to enter home.
