The fireplace has a good atmosphere and the calm settles here. There is a living room with dining area and cooking facilities on the 1st floor. On the 2nd floor there is a collection of old equipment that has belonged to the farm, bathroom with toilet/washbasin and bedroom with 3 beds (120 cm, 120 cm and 80 cm). Access to shower in another house nearby. The firehouse has electric heating, but no running water inside. Cold and hot water can be collected in the basement in the house next door. The space The location is unique. Amazing view and short way to the popular Romsdalseggen. The farm consists of main house, barn, toolhouse/garage and firehouse. In addition, a summer barn and a seat. In recent years, there has been sheep farming. The firehouse as it says is now from about the 1900s, but much of the timber and grua are older. In the farm drive, the firehouse has had important features such as baking houses, preparing slaughter, taking care of wool from carding to spinning, and boiling soap and more. Those who rent the firehouse have the house alone. There are 3 beds with room for 3/4 people, also possible with space in an extra bed. The place is suitable for adults, but also for families with children. There are great opportunities for play and exploration of the outdoor area. Guests can say hello to the hens who live in the chicken coop nearby. Locally produced honey is sold here. There are also high door sticks, and varying door heights in this old house. Kitchen is equipped with the necessary to make yourself simple food. Cutlery, plates, cups and pots and some kitchen utensils Cooking appliance with 2 plates, a kettle and fridge. The beds are made and in the bathroom there are soap, cloths and towels for guests. If the power goes out, check the fuse box on the 2nd floor on the wall east towards the white house. Turn on the fuse by bringing the fuse back into the same position as the other fuses. If it is still powerless, please let me know. Guest access In addition to the guest house in the woodshed, the toilet/shower/laundry room in the basement of the main house on the farm can be used. Outside, there are tables and chairs that guests can use. The large stone staircase in front of the firehouse is great to sit on, as the stones are nicely warmed by the sun. There is plenty of space for car parking at the property. Other things to note How do you find your way? Look at the map function on the iPhone, 1881, or Yellow Pages. If you use directions from one of these, you will find your way to Eldhuset. Some people have had a bit of a challenge finding their way, but I hope it goes well.
