Farm stay in Westfield

The George Farmhouse was established in 1898 and has remained in the family for generations. The family has decided to open the house to guests. The farm is operational with cows, horses and other farm related activities. Guests should not be surprised to see tractors in operation and other daily tasks taking place around the house. From the property you can see the majestic view of Moore's Wall and Hanging Rock. We are located approximately 5 minutes from Hanging Rock State Park. The space We are in close proximity to The Big Creek Lodge at Luna's Trails, Moore's Springs Manor, The Meadows and many others venues. We are only minutes away from The Green Heron, JoLo Winery and Dragon Glass in nearby Madison. Our place in only 15 minutes away from Pilot Mountain State Park, 15 minutes from King and around 25 minutes from Walnut Cove and Mt. Airy, NC. There are so many things to do in Stokes and nearby counties and towns. King Fest, Autumn Leaves Festival, Stokes Stomp, various car shows, and other town festivals and celebrations are held near by each year. Guest access Guests here will enjoy a handicap ramp upon entry. The house is equipped with a washer and dryer. It also comes with all the necessary items to make your stay complete. The views from the property are of Moore's Wall and Hanging Rock. Guests also have the opportunity to paddle or float the Dan River utilizing The Dan River Company for kayak and canoe rentals and shuttle, or The Danbury General Store for tube rentals. There is a large open front porch where guests can enjoy being outdoors and the views. There is a gas grill and a charcoal grill also on the premises. As far as restaurants, Luna's Mexicn Kitchen, Hillside Market (weekdays only), The Big Creek Lodge at Luna's Trail and John Brown's Country Store (closed Sunday and Monday) are all minutes away. In King, eating establishments such Linda Vista, King Kitchen, Town and Country, The Dalton, The Merantile and various other fast food places are close. In Walnut Cove, only 25 minutes away, 1889 Taphouse is a favorite spot of the locals. El Cabo, The Milk Bar, Olympic (closed Saturday and Sunday), Sam's Pizza and Milano's are all popular and great places to dine. We have a notebook at the house that includes menus, drive times and directions. Other things to note Our farmhouse is a working farm. There are cows and horses that are fed and watered each day. We ask guests to NOT get in the pastures with the livestock due to liability issues.
