The space This completely renovated Lake Winnipesaukee waterfront cottage lovingly named 'Windswept Cottage' by its original owner was built in the 1930's in Alton Bay, NH on 'Watson Point'. This great home offers it guests views to the north up Lake Winnipesaukee towards Little Mark and Mount Major giving you unforgettable sunsets in the evening and great sun during the day. This home is well cared for, super clean and has all your basic needs so that you can just pack your bathing suit and and head to the lake in the summers or those skis and snowsuit for winter fun at nearby Gunstock Mountain Resort about 10 mins away. Outdoors you will find a large lakefront deck with patio furniture to sit and relax, a cozy side yard with a Breeo fire pit surrounded by chairs and a gas grill for easy dining. Head down the stairs to the swim/sun deck and private dock right at waters edge with sun chaise lounges and kayaks to enjoy. This is a private residence located almost at the end of a private road so you will have the entire home and dock to yourself. Inside you will find an open concept living/dining/kitchen space with all your basic needs for cooking in or dining out - just pack your food and fancy condiments. The home has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the second with two twins beds. All bed linens and bath towels are provided. You are welcome to bring your boat as well - as you have full use of the dock - please just let us know and we can give you more details about launch ramps and trailer parking as trailers will not make it up the road.! We hope we can host you! Guest access It's all yours for your stay! From the cottage to the land to the dock - your own little piece of peace and privacy for your getaway. Other things to note The house is stocked and ready for you to enjoy. In the kitchen you will find all the basic pots, pans, silverware, plates, spatulas, etc - please just bring your own food and fancy condiments. There is always plenty of toilet paper and paper towels. The beds will all be made and ready for you upon arrival as well as bath towels. There is a tv in the main living room with basic cable and a smart remote so you can log into your Netflix account and internet available as well. There are extra blankets and sheets on site if needed. We provide the basic wood for outdoor fires. We hope you choose Windswept Cottage for your getaway to Lake Winnipesaukee. Reminder of some of our basic policies and rules: - No smoking - No pets allowed - No events, parties, or large gatherings. - Please be respectful of the neighbors and observe reasonable quiet hours - No fireworks - Guests are limited to a max of 4 overnight guests and 4 daytime guest per Town of Alton zoning ordinances. -There is only one outdoor camera that faces the driveway to ensure the security of the property and guest count/ no pet policy as well as respectful of your privacy. Please refer to the policy and rules section for all rules and requirements. This is a private road with really lovely neighbors - please be respectful of their space and privacy as you would want. Please also make sure to park in the driveway to not block the road. Please do not bring trailers up the road- contact us for trailer parking details.
