We are less than a quarter mile from the Cave Rock boat ramp. Nearby you will also find kayak, canoe, and stand-up paddleboard rentals. Our home comes equipped with beach towels and chairs if you'd like to take a walk or drive to the beach. Proximity to the lake also means proximity to hwy 50. With easy access to the highway, it's a short drive to many of the attractions around the lake tahoe basin. Due to this proximity, we have also installed sound machines and black-out curtains for any inconvenience the highway lights and sounds may cause. There are perks of staying with locals! We live in the main home / first floor with our pup and would be happy to share any local insights with you during your trip. We'll even let you in on some of our favorite hikes within walking access from our house! Please note in the amenities section that we do not have air conditioning. Neighborhood: We have a close-knit neighborhood of summer homes and full-timers with a few BnBs sprinkled in. The neighborhood itself is generally quiet and private. Car: With close proximity to hwy 50, it's very easy to get around by car if you'd like to explore South Lake Tahoe or the North Shore. Parking: We have a large driveway with off-street parking for one car to park in. Walking: There are many walking distance activities from the house like the beach or scenic hiking. Nearby: The cave rock boat launch is approximately .2 miles from the house. There are also several bars and restaurants in Zephyr Cove about a mile South of us.
