The Cuckoo's Nest is a romantic, peaceful retreat with with all the modern luxury you would need for a restful stay in beautiful Cornwall. Located just 20 minutes from either coast in the quiet leafy suburbs of Kenwyn, Truro, you are 10 mins walk from the city centre, the Hall for Cornwall, the stunning Idless woods and surrounding countryside, perfect for bike rides and walkers. Centrally located, The Cuckoo’s Nest is an ideal location for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer. The Cuckoo's Nest offers a well equipped kitchen with a two ring hob, a fridge with freezer compartment, a microwave, sink and drainer, toaster, kettle, coffee filter press, tea towels, kitchen utensils and kitchen cleaning products. We also provide you with tea bags, instant coffee and sugar. Please be aware there is no oven. The lounge includes a sofa, smart TV, wifi, and coffee table which extends enabling you to work in comfort from the sofa on a laptop or indeed as a dining table. The bathroom has a modern shower with deluge head and separate hand shower, small wash basin with illuminated mirror, heated towel rail and WC. We also provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand cream and soap. Leading through from the lounge you will find a beautiful double bedroom with a dressing table, wall mirror, wardrobe and chest of drawers. From the bed you look out through patio doors to a small courtyard where you can enjoy the morning sun. You will also find a hairdryer, magnifying mirror, outside cushions, blankets and spare pillows in the wardrobe. The bedroom is full of little touches to make you stay romantic, cosy and comfortable. Note: Should you have a little one, I can also supply a travel cot and high chair. You would need to supply your own bedding. There are two private and secluded outside spaces, one to capture the morning sun outside your bedroom and the other extending out from the lounge through patio doors enjoying the evening sun. You will find a Chiminea and some fire wood, blankets, a bistro table and chairs with cushions for comfortable outdoor dining and a bench should you have guests. Parking is free and always available outside the property and there are no steps on the short walk down a footpath to the front gate. The entire property has underfloor heating with double glazing, so winter nights will be cosy, peaceful and warm. You will also notice bespoke patina artworks, clocks and home furnishings dotted around the Cuckoo's Retreat as the owner, Keryn, a local artist, has a home studio (All A Bit Cuckoo) where she creates collections inspired by the Cornish coast and travelling. If you would like to know more or are interested in purchasing any artwork or jewellery, please do get in touch with Keryn who’d love to show you her collection. Guest access You have full access to all of your property including the private front and rear patios. The property is adjacent to our main living accommodation but your space is totally private with no through access, a separate entrance and you are not overlooked by the main house.
