Make yourself at home at Home Sweet Cottage. Enjoy a cozy stay in this genuine and historic Acadian home ideally situated to welcome you near the warm waters of Néguac Bay. Beach located at 500m from the doorstep and throughout the village and area, enjoy fishing & clam digging along with the simple pleasures and sounds of cottage life. The space One and a half storey house built at the turn of the 20th century, the home was renovated to provide you a comfortable and relaxing stay. The upper loft/storey provides two sleeping areas with a double bed on one side and single and double beds on the other side. A daybed, downstairs, provides extra sleeping space. The cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen. Books, boardgames and children's toys provide additional entertainment. A bit of its history.. According to Jean-Guy Savoie ... now deceased ... he said this: The fourth house on Rue Savoie is that of Valère Robichaud and Elisabeth (Betty) Arseneau, the daughter of Calixte and Élisabeth Goulet. This house was bought from my aunt Evelyn after her first husband, Mathurin Patrice, died. It was built by François (Frank) Patrice and halted by Odilon in Germain Savoie in 1960. Even further afield was my grandmother's home, Mrs. Calixte Arseneau née Elisabeth Goulet, the daughter of Jean and Venerable Landry. The house was halted, in pieces, from where they lived at Ross Road. It was rebuilt by Jim Goulet. Today this house is located on the way to John McCloud and serves as a chalet of are Guest access The property is large and remains a work-in-progress ☺️ There is a firepit with wood provided, kindly adhere to provincial fire bans.
