This property is perfect for a family with young kids. It is located just minutes from the quaint mountain town of Nederland that has shops, restaurants, and activities for kids of all ages! Three bedrooms include a master with its own bathroom, a bedroom with a full-sized bed, and another one with a twin with a trundle! Enjoy the quiet neighborhood and easy access to the mountains! The main living room and kitchen open to a deck with forest views. The master bedroom has a queen bed and private bath. The guest rooms are furnished with a full-size bed in one and a twin with a trundle bed in the other. There is also a bathroom off the living room. This house has only a couple of stairs at the entrance and is otherwise all on one level. The parking is spacious enough for a few cars and the driveway is flat and level for easy access. The kitchen is stocked with all you need for cooking and you will have plenty of room in the refrigerator for your items. The house is lived in part time and so there may be some items left in the freezer but you will have some space there as well. The living room has a wood-burning stove which you are welcomed to use as long as you follow our instructions so the house doesn't fill with smoke and everything is done safely. We provide the wood! There is wifi available as well as a TV for your enjoyment. You will need your own login information for the content providers. The entire house is available for your use except for a closet and the shed where owners store personal items. We do self-checkin via a keybox and leave you to enjoy the space. However, Reid is the local host and can be available if needed. We will leave you to enjoy your time in privacy but are available if you need us or have any questions. The house sits in a quiet neighborhood. We ask guests to respect the still nature of the area so as not to disturb neighbors. Please bring all noise inside after 10pm. You do not need any special vehicle to access the property. In winter months you will want an AWD vehicle for these mountains, however, this property does not have difficult access or a steep driveway like many of the other places you may find for rent. Do NOT rely on rideshare services as it is nearly impossible to schedule a pickup this far up into the mountains. You can get them to deliver you to the house but exiting is a big problem! There is a reliable RTD bus service for Nederland. There is a stop down by the dam - a reasonable hike from the house - approximately 1 mile. The house does not have air conditioning as it is not needed even in the summer months here at this 8,500ft elevation! The trees around the house provide cooling shade and the mountain breezes keep the interior environment comfortable. We have a couple of cars parked in the driveway but they are out of the way and you will have plenty of space for yours. There is a bear proof trash can for any excess trash. If that gets full during your stay just let Reid know and he will come empty it. There is one outdoor camera to monitor access at the front entrance.
