The space As soon as you walk in, you'll immediately be greeted by a dining and kitchen which opens up into our vaulted spacious living room set up with access and a stunning view of our back patio! Down a hallway you'll find our bathroom and extra room setup and right at the end will be the main bedroom with laundry access. There is an extra space inside the unit which we are hoping you will love. It's a little nook to sit and contemplate. It houses a massage chair, some books and games. Kick back, relax, unwind. It's time to take a break. We have 2 outdoor patios in this unit (yes, two!)! One with access right from the living room with a dart-board and hook-and-ring game. Enjoy the outdoors without feeling like you're completely exposed. There's a walkway that connects this patio to the one nestled in the back of our unit. A quiet place with a sectional and firepit and a view of the open skies. My mother and I sit here in the mornings with a cup of coffee (mom likes coffee, I prefer tea). It's also a lovely space to unwind in the evenings. The space was intentionally left lightless so you can light the fire and enjoy the amber light that emits from it. We’re all about lighting, and a fire glow is one of the best things. There is a strip light running along the walkway and along the back of the sectional so you won't be completely in the dark. We hope you enjoy it! We offer clean spaces that are thoughtfully designed and mindfully operated, whenever possible. It is our goal to reduce our carbon footprint on the world and we go above and beyond to source items that create an enjoyable experience for our guests. We also celebrate local businesses to offer a one-of-a-kind experience. Design Our goal, when designing our space, is to put ourselves in your shoes. The question that comes to mind is "what will create an enjoyable experience?" Every detail that goes into the space, from the furniture, to the art, is meant to serve as an extension of joy in the space in some way, whether that is through function, form or both. We hope that when you stay here, you experience a moment of joy – a moment that was designed by our family for yours. Mindful Choices - 100% cotton bedding and towels, whenever possible. Sometimes, generous guests replace damaged linens at our units, and unbeknownst to us they are made of synthetic materials. Should you discover this during your stay, please reach out and let us know, so we can make use of them another way! - We encourage reusing towels, whenever possible! This reduces the number of wash loads, reducing the amount of resources used (water and power for instance), but also the amount of laundry detergent added to our natural water resources! Please reach out to us if you need more towels. - We try to use natural laundry detergent as often as possible. We also get very excited when we get our hands on the scentless kind, since it does not disrupt our endocrine system! - We use waterproof mattress protectors on our beds to keep them protected and fresh for you! - Our toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body-wash) are 100% vegan, paraben-free, sulphate-free, phosphate-free, SLS-free, and cruelty-free (yes, we think of our furry friends too)! - We use reclaimed wood whenever possible. Repurposing trees that have fallen naturally, for instance, or partnering with companies that have a replanting initiative, excites us. Thank you so much for considering us.
