(Open May 1st to mid-October) * Paddle board and kayak rentals available seasonally Considerations La Casa Lakeside Cottage Resort is accessed via Westside Road. It is a winding drive hugging the shores of lake Okanagan. Some drivers find parts of this road daunting. Downtown Kelowna is a 35 minute drive from the resort as is downtown Vernon. While there is a small convenience store at the resort, prices are higher. We would suggest doing your grocery and liquor shopping beforehand. Alternatively, Save-on-Foods does deliver wine and food to the resort for a small fee. The beach is rocky. This cannot be changed because there are salmon spawning grounds nearby. We would suggest bringing along some water shoes for your stay. The complex is built up a hill. While this allows for some stunning views, be prepared for a good leg workout if you choose to walk the resort, rather than using your vehicle. Golf cart rentals ARE available. Please let us know if you are interested ahead of time and we can try to help arrange one while you are here! Because this is a whole house rental, cleaning services are not available mid-stay. You are responsible for removing garbage from the home at the end of your stay and from time to time during your stay so as not to attract vermin or bugs. There are check-out procedures that guests are expected to do prior to their departure. Instructions are as follows: * All trash & recycling MUST be taken to the garbage disposal area located down on Barcelona Drive * Load dishwasher & run it * Clean any pots and pans that were used * Ensure BBQ is off and has been cleaned Guest access The garage is owner-only use Other things to note The property is 30 minutes from Kelowna & Vernon on winding, scenic Westside Rd.
