Description
This beautifully renovated historic farmhouse in the heart of Washington, Virginia is home to horses, abundant wildlife, and views of the blue ridge mountain range. Here you can enjoy scenic Rappahannock County in a charming and cozy home just minutes from the world renowned Inn at Little Washington, Shenandoah National Park, hiking trails, skyline drive and more. The space This home is a pre-Civil War historic stone farmhouse left in its original layout and proportions. It has been renovated and brought back to life with modern charm and comfort in mind. The home is designed to accommodate families or larger groups of friends. One bedroom has a Queen bed, and the other bedroom has two sets of (Twin over Full) bunk beds. All rooms are carpeted so we ask that guests remove their shoes in the house, especially in the bedrooms. Guest access The entire home is for guest enjoyment. Guests can also feel free to walk the property, while staying outside of the horse paddock fencing and maintaining a respectful distance from the grazing horses. Other things to note We have paid special attention to sustainability at this property. The house is solar powered, and our water source is from the ground. We have also tried to keep all single use plastic out of our operations, so our toiletries are biodegradable, and soaps are refillable. All bedding is made from natural materials cotton and linen. Our toilet paper is tree free bamboo. Many of the furnishings are pre-loved, keeping beautiful things needing a second life out of landfill. We hope you appreciate our effort, and we ask that you help us by preserving water where you can, and only using what you need.
