Important to note: Tarra Valley is such a beautiful peaceful place full of forrest and waterfalls and natural wonders where wildlife like wombats and wallabies are more popular than people That also means, there’s no 4G in our area (put our address into maps in advance) and also no TV reception. We do however have satellite wifi so you can make calls, get onto socials and stream TV (via the chrome cast available). During bad weather/strong winds, the connection can weaken. Our Farm We live on the farm, which is 20- acre property with all our pet animals including cows, alpacas, goats, chickens and resident chicken bodyguard dogs Lilly (maremma). More About the Area. Tarra Valley is an extension of Tarra Bulga National Park. The entire area between us and the national park (when coming off the M1) is a picturesque drive along densely forrested areas and Tarra River, with lots of wildlife to spot along the way (please drive slowly). The main park entrance is a 30-minute drive from us, which includes the famous Corrigan’s Suspension Bridge, and there are trails such as Cyathea Falls, only 15 mins away. Port Albert and Woodside beach are stunning and and only 30 minutes away. We are just over an hour from Wilson’s Prom National Parkwhere guests frequently enjoy taking a day trip. Being so close to the national park, we are remote. Nearest food options are in our local town, Yarram which is 20 minutes away. There’s a couple of cafes, a pub, a few takeaway options and Woolworths. Something to keep in mind, it’s a small rural town so it’s quiet at night and takeaway options close about 9pm. Other things to note If you’re bringing young children please make sure you are with them at all times. Whilst our animals are totally harmless, they do free range making it easy to approach them.
