Welcome to our family-friendly accommodation for 3-4 people. It is located close to the edge of the forest and is the ideal starting point for hiking or cycling trips to "Kroppacher Schweiz" and with connection (1 km) to the Westerwaldsteig. Two playgrounds are not far away and there is plenty to discover, e.g. Hachenburg (4 km) with the historic market square, the Marienstatt Abbey with monastery garden & brewery, the Westerwald lake district, Bad Marienberg with climbing and zoo. The space We offer a spacious, quiet and family-friendly apartment on the ground floor of a detached house. Unfortunately, the apartment is not suitable for wheelchair users, as there are a few steps indoors and outdoors. The apartment was completed in 2023 and offers a new and modern double bedroom and a spacious and bright family living room with cable TV. There is also another living room/bedroom with a sofa bed for 1 person and a single bed, cable TV, workplace, painting utensils, games and books for our smaller guests. The cozy eat-in kitchen is well equipped (dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, refrigerator without freezer, microwave, coffee maker, coffee pad machine, toaster, blender, kettle, etc.) and offers space for 4 people with a corner bench. Basic supplies of coffee, tea and spices are available. The bathroom is equipped with a window, shower, mirror and sink cabinet as well as a hairdryer. A children's travel cot including bed linen, a high chair and a baby rocker can be provided on request. Towels and linens are provided by us free of charge. All rooms are equipped with (electric) shutters for darkening. Behind the house, the garden with a spacious terrace and various seating options invites you to play, relax and barbecue (charcoal). There is also a lockable storage space in the basement for bicycles (charging option for e-bikes), free Wi-Fi, cable TV. Our washing machine in the basement can also be used on request for a longer stay of 8 days or more. An ironing board with iron is available in the wall cabinet in the hallway of the property. Unfortunately, we cannot allow pets, as our curious cat Moritz is already wandering around the meadow and making himself comfortable there. We would like to ask that a booking request be sent first for fitters. Guest access Our son lives on the upper floor and the front door is shared. Your place has its own lockable apartment door (♡-Fewo). There is storage in the basement for bicycles or the like. Some areas in the basement are private and may not be used. Other things to note In the bakery "Brot-Zeit" (1 km) you can have a very tasty breakfast and also a good German/Swabian restaurant is available in the village. There is also a gas station and a beverage store nearby. There is also a bus stop (500 m) and a train stop (Hattert station) 1 km away. Many other shopping and discovery opportunities are available in the "Pearl of the Westerwald," the beautiful town of Hachenburg, which is about 4 km away. In addition to the various shopping opportunities, there is an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, the well-known landscape museum with the adjoining castle garden park and adventure playground, mini golf course, cinema and a bowling center. The Hachenburger brewery is also worth a visit or a Sunday city tour is recommended.
