Palm House

This is a newly built (2022) large house close to the Upplands Way (Upplandsleden) hiking trail, and the Lunsen nature reserve with walking trails and beautiful scenery. Only 12 minute drive to Knivsta, or 25 minute drive to central Uppsala. 2.3 km to the nearest bus stop. Lófi House is the main residence just behind Lófi Cottage, which sleeps up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms (listed separately on Airbnb). Book both the house and the cottage for a large group! The space 200 square metre house with underfloor heating and air conditioning. Quality kitchen with Siemens appliances. Washer and drying cabinet (torkskåp). Dedicated EV charger available in the carport. The house has 4 bedrooms, a large open plan kitchen/dining and living room with forest views. There is a double sofa bed in the living room and a single sofa bed in the kids' living room. The air conditioning is only on one side of the house: the kids' living room and adjoining bedrooms (Bedrooms 1-3). There are all the things you need including pots and pans and children's cutlery, plates and cups. There are many toys for kids to play with. The master bedroom has an adjoining ensuite bathroom with shower. There is a small office with a desk and ultrawide monitor. There are ceiling speakers throughout the house. Using Apple Airplay or UPnP, you can stream audio from your phone or tablet to the speakers in Bedrooms 1-3, the kitchen and family bathroom, and deck. There are two media spaces with projectors. The living room has a 145 inch projected image size, five channel surround with two Dolby Atmos speakers and a subwoofer (5.1.2), blu-ray player and Apple TV (video streaming device). It is important to note that when it is sunny, the projected image is difficult to see in this room. The kids' living room has a 94 inch projected image size, similar speaker setup without subwoofer (5.0.2), Apple TV and blu-ray player. The back deck is 65 sq m with cushioned sofas, table and chairs, and a large gas barbecue (grill). The grounds are otherwise unfinished (no garden or lawns). There is a large hole (for a future pool) behind the back deck, and there is a safety fence separating the deck from the hole. Guest access All areas of the house will be accessible, except for the walk-in closet of the master bedroom. There are underbed storage drawers which we will leave empty for guests' use. Bedroom 1 is currently unavailable, but the sofa double bed in the living room sleeps 2, and the fold-down sofa in the kids’ living room sleeps 1. Other things to note Two cats live at the house. They come and go as they please, via the side door to the laundry room. If you don’t want to be disturbed by the cats, keep the internal laundry room door closed. The cats will need to be fed twice a day. Food and instructions will be provided.
