If you’re an early riser, enjoy sunrise with an amazing ‘Dawn Chorus’ of birdsong of up to twenty different species, the coo of wood pigeons and the Dawn Call of a solitary distant farmyard cockerel and the neigh of horses in the nearby fields. NB. If you wish to sit outside after nightfall, you can turn the front and the deck sensor lights to Permanent On (separate marked switches on the internal lighting panel), but please reset the switches when you have finished with them. Spring through autumn here is a delight of nature’s colour and soundscape and winters are cozy whilst nature rests. Without any street lighting, darkness brings a panorama of stars in the night sky and in spring the sound of frogs and toads gathering on the wildlife pond. Squirrels and occasionally rabbits entertain during the day whilst newts and hedgehogs take cover until darkness falls. Ample bees, butterflies, ladybirds, other insects and the odd prowling cat keep this small eco environment pollinated and pest free.
