This sunny and bright family-friendly property is a short walk to Rosen Lake with easy access to the water for all your activities on a beautiful mountain lake. It has a rooftop patio or fire pit for relaxing after a day of activities. Whether it’s skiing at Fernie/ Kimberley in the Winter or a lake day at Rosen Lake or Tie Lake in the warmer months, this place is a great home base for your Kootenay adventures. Come enjoy nature and peace in the quiet locale of Rosen Lake! The space The house comfortably sleeps 8 adults with additional room in the bunk room. There are five well sized bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms. The main floor has one master bedroom with a king size bed and another bedroom with one queen bed. The walkout lower floor has a bedroom with one queen bed, a bedroom with one king bed, and a bunk room for the kids with two twin-over-double bunks. All bedrooms include comfortable beds, pillows and fluffy duvets. There are two living room areas with modern large screen TVs and a gas fireplace in each. The open concept kitchen adjoins the upstairs living and dining room for gathering all together with your family or friends. The house has a Scandinavian aesthetic and is full of sunlit windows for a bright, airy feel. For outdoor relaxation, the large rooftop deck features an outdoor sectional, hammock, large umbrella and dining area. A second deck opens up to the BBQ and firepit and backs onto the forest for watching deer. This property is family friendly; we have a pack n' play, baby gate, booster seat, children's books and toys, as well as board games. Guest access For outdoor activities, guests will have access to one adult kayak and three children’s kayaks, two adult sized paddleboards and two youth paddleboards, life jackets of various sizes, beach toys, beach mats, cooler bag with ice packs, pool noodles, etc. Please be respectful and take care of the gear so our family and others can continue to enjoy them. The house comes with many kitchen items for your various cooking needs. Guests will also have access to necessities like salt and pepper, basic spices, oil, flour, sugar, food coverings (glad wrap, foil, etc.). There is a drip coffee maker and a Nespresso Vertuo machine (coffee/pods not included). Guests will have access to bathroom necessities like shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Wireless internet is available, and for those that need to check in with work during their stay a desk is available in the master bedroom. Other things to note This house is located in the rural Rosen Lake community in Jaffray, BC. Only a 30 minute drive to Fernie or Cranbrook and 45 minutes to Kimberley, with many lakes around the area including Tie Lake, Koocanusa, Surveyor’s Lake, as well as our own Rosen Lake. A Crown land trailhead is just at the end of the road. Very good golf courses in Cranbrook and Fernie are a short drive away, as well as a fun 9 hole course right in Jaffray. The village of Jaffray has a local coffee shop, a couple of stores for basic necessities, a gas station, a liquor store, and a pub and grill. In the warmer months, there are a couple of seasonal local vegetable farms, as well as farmer’s markets around the area. Registration Details Provincial registration number: H998981191
