Revel in panoramic views, kayak, fish, catch crabs, birdwatch, float off the dock, or unwind on the deck. Inside, modern amenities blend with stylish charm for comfort. Nearby: nature trails, beach, restaurants, and boat ramp. Fun fact: Piney Point provided a nature retreat for Presidents Monroe, Pierce, and Teddy Roosevelt. The space Modern, open, chic space, built in 2023. Master bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower, desk, is located on the second floor. Guest bedroom two with queen, and guest bedroom three with bunk beds (full on bottom and twin on top, with an extra mattress under the bed), living room, kitchen, dining area, full bath with tub, and laundry room are on the main level. There are two climate zones with Nest thermostats. A picnic table and grill are downstairs on the ground level. There is a deck wrapping the water side and one side of the house, which is about 9 feet up up off the ground. There is new furniture, well-appointed kitchen, fire pit, gas fireplace, and a flat screen tv. 4 kayaks and several floats are available for use. There is a private dock with a kayak launch. It is a quiet neighborhood and the home is situated on a cove overlooking St. George's Creek section of St. Mary's River and near where the Potomac River meets the Bay. There is a public boat ramp nearby. There are several coves to explore by kayak nearby. Guest access Guests have full access to the house, dock, recreational equipment, and property, except for the boat lift and the owner's boat. Other things to note One may see blue or white herons, bald eagles, ospreys, loons, pelicans, kingfishers, buffleheads, and other birds. The Chesapeake Bay Gateway at Piney Point is part of the estuary that supports the largest breeding osprey population in the world. Water sports are found in Solomons. Historic Leonardtown has restaurants and history. There is a short nature trail and beach at Piney Point lighthouse park. Saint Mary’s River State Park is nearby and offers hiking. Adjacent to St. George’s Island, the scene of the first naval battle of the Revolutionary War, and close to St. Mary’s, Maryland’s first colony and original Capital.
