Welcome to Maureen's Place, a ground-floor accommodation located in St. Thomas, Exeter, Devon. Enjoy the convenience of free street parking, and the use of a private rear garden during your stay. The property features a fully equipped kitchen, a smart TV in both the lounge and bedroom, and access to our Netflix account for movie nights. We provide everything you are likely to need for a short, or long stay. The space Maureen's Place offers self-contained, private accommodation with a lounge, bedroom, kitchen, and shower room with a toilet. The lighting can be dimmed to create a cozy atmosphere, perfect for watching a late-night movie. With your own lockable front entrance, you can come and go as you please. Feel free to use our enclosed rear garden, which although small, becomes a sun trap in the morning—ideal for alfresco tea and coffee, or an evening glass of wine, weather permitting. PLEASE UNDERSTAND This is a typical 1930s house, and the home to two of us who live above the accommodation. You may occasionally hear some everyday sounds, such as hoovering or the washing machine, however we do our best to carry out these tasks while you're out. Also, we have some creaking floorboards, but we aim to be as quiet as church mice during your stay. Guest access Once in the apartment, you have exclusive use of all the amenities. For your convenience, a simple to use push button key safe is located next to the front door to allow you to gain access. The key code will be sent to you prior to your arrival. Other things to note We are located about three-quarters of a mile from the city centre, within easy walking distance, though there is a steep hill to climb. However, a regular bus service runs to the city centre and the University of Exeter. The bus stop into the centre is about 150 yards from the accommodation on a level walk, and on the return journey, the bus stops right outside the house. We are set back from a busy road, which gets quiet in the evenings. Our location however offers convenient access to the motorway and main routes throughout Devon, just a few minutes' drive away. Nearby amenities include a regular bus service into the city centre, an Indian restaurant and takeaway, a Chinese takeaway, a Greek food takeaway, a fish and chip shop, a Tesco Express and a pub.
