Description
Step into history and comfort at our charming guesthouse in Olden. Built in 1921 by American painter W.H Singer Jr., this unique home is a time capsule with modern comforts. Perched on a hill, it offers breathtaking views of Olden, the fjord, and snow-capped mountains. Enjoy complete privacy, surrounded by nature, flowers, and friendly sheep. The space William Henry Singer Jr. traveled extensively around the world to find the most beautiful scenery for his paintings. When he discovered this place in Olden, he immediately bought the land and built a house; with good reason. To find a more beautiful place is a hard task. You will have access to a large garden and outdoor area all to yourself. Singerheimen is just a few meters down the hill. There we serve coffee, waffles and drinks. We do guided tours of the Singer museum and do daily tuk-tuk trips to nearby restaurants. If you have any questions about our offers, just call, or come visit us and have a chat over a cup of coffee! Other things to note House is fully equipped and is a part of historic and protected site. One of our guests, decades ago was a famous Norwegian composer and violinist Sparre Olsen with his wife. Their piano is still in the living room. Only hundred meters bellow you can find the Singerheimen main house where the famous artist W.H. Singer lived with his wife Anna, friends and their servants.
