Located in Senoia, Georgia, across the street from the hometown of “Alexandria” in The Walking Dead TV series, this beautiful 1880’s home is walking distance to some of the most famous places and scenes in the show. Guests can also enjoy a short walk to the charming main street of "downtown" Senoia for local shopping, dining and night life. Located less than 40 miles from both Atlanta and Callaway Gardens, there is something for everyone to enjoy close by. The house was one of the first built in the town, in 1888. The room is classic - from the wood-paneled 10 foot ceilings to the old floors, wainscoting and the tapestry above the fireplace, it is clearly a historic room. It is also large enough for a king size bed, an air mattress and extra space for a sitting area. There is a small refrigerator, microwave and Keurig Coffeemaker in the room as well, but you are within easy walking distance of several breakfast spots and restaurants in downtown Senoia. One thing to note: this room does not have a shower - but does have a large jaccuzzi tub. Your space is completely separate from the rest of the house with its own entrance, bathroom and porch. We tend to be pretty busy, but like to interact with our guests. We will be in the house at night, but are generally out during the day. Our neighborhood is a charming, walkable community. We are part of historic downtown Senoia, and are less than 2 blocks from Main St. We are known for the "Walking Dead" of course, and are located a stone's throw from the Alexandria set, but the town offers a wonderfully charming intimate experience for couples and families. In town there are several streets of historic homes, and dozens of restaurants and shops - and there are a number of day trips and excursions, and we can direct you to numerous bike loops and trails. We are close enough to walk to everything downtown. The majority of our guests park their cars and leave them at our house. If you're planning on staying with us for a week or more, you might want to rent a golf cart. There are hundreds of them - influenced by Peachtree City to the north with its 134 miles of golfcart trails. If you're driving, parking is very easy downtown as well. We have pets; 3 dogs and several cats. They are all extremely friendly - except one of the cats;-) The dogs stay within the property because of an invisible fence. They are all affectionate and good with children, but if they get to be too much, please let us know and we will keep them inside. The dogs are getting into the whole Airbnb thing themselves - more people to pet them.
