An atmospheric cottage with modern amenities. Less than 100 kilometers from the Helsinki metropolitan area, about 40 minutes from Lahti and Porvoo. Ideal for a family with children, but also for a couple or friends. It is good to go swimming from the slowly deepening sandy beach after a soft sauna. The space The cottage is about 65 sqm: 2 bedrooms, combined living-dining room, hallway, indoor toilet and kitchen. There are 4-6 beds (+ granary). The second bedroom has a 160 cm double bed and the children's room has a bunk bed. In addition, the sofa bed in the living room opens up to a 160 cm bed if necessary (good to sleep on). The cottage can accommodate 4 adults and 2 children, but is small for 6 adults. In addition, there is a granary in the yard, where you will find a 200 cm wide bed (and a crib if necessary). The inside temperature of the shed follows the outside temperature, i.e. in warm weather it is very warm and on cool nights it is also cool there. The cottage has an indoor toilet, electricity, water and WiFi. Also suitable for remote work. The cabin has clean drinking water (also hot water inside) and drainage. The cottage has its own sandy beach, which is very slowly deepening, so it is also suitable for swimming with small children. In the yard you will find a large 4.3 m trampoline, swings, a basket, and a large number of different yard games, hooks, and children's play equipment. There is also a rowboat with a small motor and the very fishy Lake Pyhäjärvi. In the yard there is an atmospheric gazebo right on the beach and a barbecue canopy/summer kitchen with a charcoal grill, a water point and a separate small electric stove. Separate sauna building. Washing takes place in the washing room, where the water is heated in a masonry boiler (there is no shower). The price includes a reasonable amount of firewood. Cottage equipment: TV, radio, dishwasher, washing machine, induction stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster. There is also a separate electric car charger in the yard, which can be used for a separate fee. Good mushroom and berry grounds in the nearby forests. Guest access When renting the cottage, you have the entire cottage, yard and beach at your disposal A rowboat on the beach is also available. Other things to note The cottage's yard is protected from the neighbors, but they are still close. Parties, noise and smoking are strictly forbidden. Please clean the place to the same condition as it was when you arrived. If you do not want to clean yourself, a cleaning fee of 100 euros will be charged. Towels and sheets are not included in the price, but can be discussed separately. You can get there easily by car, but the car must be left in the so-called upper yard next to the fence (on the sand), i.e. where the first picture was taken. You should not leave the car in the middle of the lawn, because the ground is clay and in heavy rain it can be difficult to get the car moving. On the cottage road, about 300 m from the cottage, there are our 4 beehives. Bees are not interested in people and they do not bother much in the yard, but if for some reason the treatment measures do not succeed between the rentals, I may have to come and do the hive treatment measures (this will of course be agreed separately). For this reason, the use of Thermacell or similar is strictly prohibited. The use of Offi mosquito smoke, etc., is permitted. The cottage is mostly for our own use, so please take good care of it.
