The vacation home is the ideal starting point for excursions in the Altmühltal Nature Park or in the Franconian Lake District. You will stay in a lovingly restored former basket house (delivery house) in the middle of Wettelsheim. The vacation home is classified with 4 stars by the DTV. It has been largely preserved in its original condition and equipped with contemporary furnishings. However, the door and ceiling on the upper floor are lower than usual due to the earlier construction. The space Overall, the non-barrier-free vacation home has just under 60 m² of living space. Suitable for 2-3 adults with 1-2 children, maximum 4 people. On the first floor are the living room with dining area, the (children's) bedroom, 8 square meters (beds 1.8 x 0.9 m and 2 x 0.9 m), the kitchen and the bathroom. On the upper floor, there is the bedroom with sloping ceilings and a play and reading corner as well as a foosball table. Due to the original building material, there are different door and ceiling dimensions: Second floor: hallway and bedroom ceiling: 1.95 m, door to the bedroom: 1.73 m). On the first floor, the door to the (children's) bedroom is 1.77 m high. The fenced natural garden is only 20 meters away behind my house. Our son's family and Curt, a small friendly Maltese dog, still live on the family property. Farms nearby may cause occasional disturbances! Guest access You have your own house at your disposal. On the family property, I live right next door in a former half-timbered barn. In our large garden (500 m²) with sunny and shady spots you can relax and unwind. Garden furniture and a gas grill (use after instruction) are provided. Children will find plenty of space and lots of playground equipment such as soccer goals with balls, swings, play tower, trampoline, an outdoor table tennis table and more. The fenced natural garden is only 20 meters away behind my house. Our son with family and Curt, a child-friendly Maltese dog, still live on the property. Other things to note Suitable for 2-3 adults with 1-2 children, maximum 4 people. The Altmühltal cycle path and the Altmühltal panoramic path pass directly by Wettelsheim. Both paths have received multiple awards. Wettelsheim was awarded in an earlier competition "Our village should be more beautiful - Our village has a future" in the district of Middle Franconia and in Bavaria. Your vacation home is located by a stream, the Rohrach, which is under ensemble protection with its historic stone bridges. We also offer 2 bicycles for free use: Men's bike 27-speed, women's bike 7-speed with coaster brake. Wettelsheim is located in Franconia and thus in the heart of Bavaria. Franconian Seelenland with Altmühlsee (20 km) and Brombachsee (20 km) is very close by. Historical Franconian cityscapes can be admired in Weißenburg, Dinkelsbühl, Nördlingen, Rothenburg ob der Tauber or Nuremberg.
