Laura and Peter welcome you to their lovely holiday home “Les Coquelicots,” nestled in the heart of Burgundy’s famous wine country. Just 10 minutes from the Route des Grands Crus and 20 minutes from Beaune, this old barn has been fully renovated with high-end details, blending old-world charm with modern comfort. In the heart of nature, in a small rustic hamlet, this old barn has kept its character while benefiting from a top-of-the-range renovation, a perfect combination of the charm of the old and the functionality of the contemporary. You will be sensitive to the noble materials used during the renovation and to its authenticity: exposed stone walls, floors in Burgundy stone, natural stone or floor tiles, French ceilings and raw wood. When you arrive, you will be struck by its wide facade of exposed stone and its impressive rounded anthracite opening more than 5m high and wide. This clever mix of old and contemporary will be the leitmotif of your stay. An exquisite taste. The tree-lined and well-kept garden offers you three relaxation areas. The first around a table in the shade of the big tree, the second under the shelter, with its outdoor kitchen and its large table, and the third around the comfortable garden furniture and its parasol. The outdoor kitchen is equipped with a sink, a plancha and a traditional barbecue. Each outdoor table can seat 6-8 adults. You will be seduced by the calm of the surroundings, the rosebushes, the majestic pine and the exposed stones of this old barn renovated by an architect. The exterior is completely enclosed by low walls and offers security and privacy. A backyard closed with an electric gate will allow you to park your vehicles in complete security. A private charging station for electric cars is also at your disposal. Now enter the house: the ground floor with impressive volumes distributes a spacious entrance, a warm living room with its authentic fireplace, a dining room, a semi-open fitted kitchen with beautiful appointments and its cellar. The living room nestled under a French ceiling with its majestic beams can accommodate up to 10 travelers thanks to its two large sofas placed at an angle, its two comfortable armchairs and its leather and velvet poufs. Treat yourself to a moment of relaxation in front of a wood fire or while watching television. Its coffee tables, side tables and wide carpet make it a practical and comfortable space. The dining area has a large waxed concrete table, 8 comfortable velvet chairs and a beautiful chandelier. You will also find a large wooden dresser and a decorative console. In a discreet room, adjoining the living room, take advantage of the large zinc bar: you can meet there to taste the best wines of the region, admire the decorative works and its traditional floor tiles. A one-of-a-kind atmosphere and memorable evenings in perspective! A first separate toilet and its washbasin are present on the ground floor. Central room of family life, you will love to cook and find yourself in the charming fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen is divided into two spaces. The first space with the main corner kitchen with island and hotplates, hood, cutting board, sink, oven, microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine. The space has many cupboards and drawers where you will find all the essential equipment and utensils for your meal preparations. The second space separated by an industrial glass roof has a kitchenette with pantry, a second sink and the American fridge with ice dispenser. You can eat in a small committee around the kitchen island or around its small side table. From the kitchen you can access the laundry room with washing machine and dryer and still plenty of storage. You can hang up and dry your laundry in the backyard of the house. Upstairs, a cozy mezzanine with a library provides access to two separate spaces. You will admire its high ceiling, its seagrass floor and you can enjoy its SPA in winter! Find five bedrooms, each designed for your comfort and privacy, with blackout blinds for peaceful nights. On the right, in complete privacy, the parental suite with its King Size bed, its natural stone floor, its adjoining bathroom and dressing room. The master bathroom has two sinks, a bathtub, a walk-in shower and a second private toilet. To the left, a corridor leads to the other three main bedrooms. The next two bedrooms offer a Queen Size bed and the third bedroom two single beds, ideal for children. Each room offers a soft and refined colored universe as well as some storage. You will fall for their skylight window. These three bedrooms share the second bathroom equipped with a double sink, a shower and a large storage closet. A third separate WC is also available to the bedrooms. All upstairs bedrooms are fitted with an electric blackout blind. The windows of these give calm, mainly on the garden or on the backyard of the house. The staircase to go upstairs has about ten full steps and is equipped with a handrail. The mezzanine also has a guardrail. Children remain under the supervision of adult travelers. The owners of the house decline all responsibility in the event of an accident. The fifth bedroom is an additional room that you will find on the ground floor, behind the kitchen. This room has a sofa bed and its own access to the garden. It can also be a space for rest or games for children and the family. The room is also equipped with a large storage cupboard. Household linen will not be renewed during the stay. Cleaning is carried out upon entry but will not be done during the stay. Guest access The complete house is entirely at your disposal during your stay. An annex to the house present in the garden is not open to travelers because it has not been renovated. A storage space will also be locked (door in the laundry room). Other things to note Bed linen and bath linen are provided for the number of travelers indicated when booking. At your disposal on your arrival, a booklet with our best kept secrets – and not so secret – in the area. Only one small/medium pet is allowed in the accommodation provided that it is clean and is not allowed to climb on carpets, sofas, armchairs and beds. It is forbidden to smoke inside the house. Parties will not be tolerated. It is recommended to reduce any excessive noise that could disturb the neighborhood between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. Any damage or theft in the accommodation will be subject to a deposit via the payment method registered by you online. These damages may also be the subject of proceedings with your civil insurance or with the competent authorities.
