This century-old house has been recently renovated, seamlessly blending modern conveniences with its preserved original features. Showcasing the natural elegance of Japanese cedar wood throughout, it offers the perfect harmony of history and style in a delightful setting. I hope you’ll enjoy its unique atmosphere! The space It is a two-story house. On the ground floor, there is a toilet, a kitchen, a dining and living room paved with traditional tatami, and a small Japanese garden. The upper floor, mostly paved with traditional tatami, is a one-bedroom with a toilet and bathroom, accommodating all guests for sleeping. *While this petite house can accommodate up to 5 guests, it is most comfortable for 2 to 4 people due to its compact size. [The Bed Arrangements] ① If there are 2 guests, they will sleep on the double bed (Japanese standard size 140cmx200cm). ② If there are more than 2 guests, the additional guests will sleep on single mattresses with futons. [Amenities] • One face towel and one bath towel per guest per stay • The washing machine has a built-in drying function (Please check the amenities list for more information.) [No-Smoking: Indoors & Outdoors] Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entire property, including the garden. [Kyoto Accommodation Tax] For stays starting from March 1, 2026, the Kyoto Accommodation Tax will increase from ¥200 to ¥400 per person per night. If Airbnb hasn’t updated the system at the time of your booking, this difference will be collected additionally through Airbnb upon check-in. Guest access Guests are welcome to access the house freely during their stay. Other things to note [Passport Copies] All foreign guests are required to provide a photocopy of their passport when staying in legally registered accommodations in Japan. (I will send you a message with the check-in details—please follow the instructions accordingly.) [Luggage Storage] It is not available due to preparation work. [Potential Noise] This home is located in a convenient and lively area. If you're a very light sleeper or particularly sensitive to noise, it might not be the perfect fit.
