Cottage on the Margaree River

Nestled on the south west branch of the Margaree River (famous for it's Atlantic salmon and brook trout fishing), our quiet country cottage is the perfect launching pad for exploring all of the amazing experiences that Cape Breton has to offer. Where the last fierce sound of the Gaelic still murmur in the mists of early morning (if you have the ear). A quaint old house with modern amenities where the nearest neighbor is 'across the brook', 'down the road a apiece', or 'up the rugged hills', but as near as a telephone call for a ceilidh or a cup of tea. Throughout the day you may observe soaring eagles flying over the property and alighting on the trees of the river bank behind the house. It's a place where you just can relax, read a book, play music, become an artist or fish till you fall in the river. Some guests who have stayed here have commmmented that it is "a home away from home".
