We suggest using an AWD or 4WD vehicle, although it’s not mandatory. If you're driving a 2-wheel drive, just be sure to maintain your speed while ascending the hill. If you're bringing a trailer or a boat, we highly recommend parking beyond the gate on the property and avoiding the gravel driveway mentioned above. Additionally, the road to the cabin features a steep curve, but with some maneuvering, you should be able to navigate with a trailer. If you plan to drive a large trailer or boat, please let us know in advance so we can offer guidance on the best route. QUIET HOURS: Please respect our QUIET HOURS policy from 9PM to 7AM. Our property is private, but it is not isolated. There is an elderly neighbor living nearby, and we expect our guests to respect their privacy and peace. Any violation of our quiet hours policy may result in cancellation of your stay. Thank you for your cooperation. EARLY CHECK-IN & CHECKOUT REQUESTS: We are always pleased to consider requests for early check-ins or late check-outs. However, there are occasions when we are unable to fulfill these requests. Often, our cabin is fully booked with consecutive reservations. Our cleaning team needs at least four hours to thoroughly prepare the cabin for our next guests. Due to these constraints, we cannot guarantee the availability of early check-ins or late check-outs. PETS: Dogs are welcome! We allow up to two dogs and charge a $100 pet fee per dog. A large crate and feeding bowls are provided for your convenience. Please ensure pets are not left alone on the property and keep them off the beds and furniture. Kindly clean up after your pets to avoid additional cleaning fees. WEATHER: This cabin has individually controlled air conditioning for each bedroom and the loft. The loft unit also cools/heats the living room downstairs. Summers can get hot, up to 100°F, so we've provided a tower fan in the living room for extra comfort. In the winter, the air conditioners can be used as heaters, and the fireplaces in the living room and master suite will also help keep you warm. Floor heaters will be provided during the winter months. NATURE ENCOUNTERS: As your host, I want to ensure you have an enjoyable and comfortable stay at our property. Please be aware that our home is a log cabin located very close to lake and on a hill surrounded by large trees, making it a haven for various forms of wildlife. During the summer months, you may encounter different types of bugs, gnats, critters, and occasionally rodents such as rats and mice. While we take preventive measures to minimize these encounters, it is impossible to completely eliminate them due to our natural surroundings. To maintain a comfortable environment, we conduct regular bi-weekly pest inspections and treatments. Despite these efforts, some encounters with nature's critters may still occur. We can provide proof of pest control upon request. We kindly request that you do not leave open food or trash inside or outside the cabin, as this can attract wildlife. Properly storing food and disposing of trash will help reduce the likelihood of attracting unwanted visitors. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to enjoy the beauty and tranquility that comes with staying so close to nature. CLEANING: We take our sanitation and cleaning procedures very seriously. We don't want you to get sick, so we'll sanitize the heck out of this place. We'll launder all the linens and disinfect all surfaces with every new stay. FINAL NOTE: - For guests who do not have an established Airbnb account with reviews, we kindly request a government-issued ID to verify your identity after you book. This is for our security, and we will not share your ID with anyone. - While the home is equipped to host 10 people, we think the perfect group size is 8. We're happy to host all 10, but keep in mind it is a little cozier as it's a 2000 square foot cabin. Guest access Guests do not have access to the storage cabins located on the property and the closet in Master bedroom downstairs. This closet is our stock room. Other things to note Security Cameras: There are four security cameras installed on the property's exterior. One camera is located at the main gate entrance, another is at the entrance door of the cabin, a third is in the side entrance, and the fourth is on one of the storage sheds. The neighborhood is very safe, but these help us to keep an eye on the property. Septic: Please keep in mind that we run on septic. So please do not flush ANYTHING that's not toilet paper. We cannot stress that enough. Wild Life: There are high chances to spot a family of deer and occasionally even a mama bear and her cubs. While these animals are beautiful, it's important to remember that they are wild and can be unpredictable. Do not touch or approach them, no matter how friendly they seem. Also, do not feed them or leave any food or trash outside, including on the deck or in your car.
