Beautiful, spacious home overlooking the Shenandoah River. Ten minutes away from Massanutten four seasons resort; 20 minutes from Luray Caverns; 20 minutes from Shenandoah National Park; within 30 minutes of JMU; 40 minutes from UVA; within 35 minutes of 8 golf courses. There are many wineries and breweries nearby as well. The space The house is situated on 4 1/2 acres and overlooks the river from atop a hill. There is a private driveway to drive to the river or a walk to. There are beautiful river views from inside the house as well as on the back deck. The hot tub overlooks the Shenandoah River. The home has spacious rooms. Each room is themed. The living room is decorated in Americana and touched from each of the three themed bedrooms. The master bedroom is a railroad theme to celebrate the historic N&W railroad line that runs nearby the home. The middle bedroom is decorated as a fishing room. The third remaining bedroom is decorated in a woodland theme. Each room having its own special touches. Guest access The front entrance to the house has a handicap ramp. The property also has a seperate driveway where guests can drive straight down to the river, making this an ideal place for handicap guests to enjoy as well. Able-bodied guests may choose to walk down the hill to access the river. There is a small floating dock that allows for fishing and easily getting in/out of kayaks and/or the pedal boat that is available for guest use. There is also a boat ramp on the property. Basement is NOT a part of the rental space. It’s currently unfinished and used for owner/cleaning storage. There’s also a locked cleaning closet in the laundry room. It’s full of cleaning chemicals and remains locked to ensure safety for any small children. Other things to note There is a historic railroad line that runs a train by the house. Times of the train vary. Trees buffer most of the sound of the passing train, especially when the leaves are full. The historic Shenandoah Depot is just a 5 minute drive from the house. Also, please note, you ARE at the river! There are bugs, there are bees, there are snakes. It’s part of nature. Please be aware, if doors are open, bugs can fly inside. We can’t control the bugs. 🤔
