Beautiful, spacious home overlooking the Shenandoah River. Ten minutes away from Massanutten four seasons resort; 20 minutes from Luray Caverns; 20 minutes from Shenandoah National Park; within 30 minutes of JMU; 40 minutes from UVA; within 35 minutes of 8 golf courses. There are many wineries and breweries nearby as well. The house is situated on 4 1/2 acres and overlooks the river from atop a hill. There is a private driveway to drive to the river or a walk to. There are beautiful river views from inside the house as well as on the back deck. The hot tub overlooks the Shenandoah River. The home has spacious rooms. Each room is themed. The living room is decorated in Americana and touched from each of the three themed bedrooms. The master bedroom is a railroad theme to celebrate the historic N&W railroad line that runs nearby the house. The middle bedroom is decorated as a fishing room. The remaining bedroom is decorated in a woodland theme. Each room having its own special touches. The front entrance to the house has a handicap ramp. The property also has a seperate driveway where guests can drive straight down to the river, making this an ideal place for handicap guests to enjoy as well. Able-bodied guests may choose to walk down the hill to access the river. There is a small floating dock that allows for fishing and easily getting in/out of kayaks and/or the pedal boat that is available for guest use. There is also a boat ramp on the property. Hosts are available throughout your stay if any situations arise. We are 10 minutes away and can be there promptly upon request of the guests, if needed. Nearby attractions within 45 minutes or less include Shenandoah River, Shenandoah National Park, JMU, UVA, EMU, Great Eastern Four Seasons Resort, many breweries and wineries. A book provided at home for guest with all details. The road dead ends 1 mile further. You can walk the community but driving is required to go to any stores or other attractions. There is a historic railroad line that runs a train by the house. Trees buffer most of the sound of the passing train. The historic Shenandoah Depot is just a 5 minute drive from the house.
