Located in the heart of Taupō's 2-Mile Bay, the hideaway is perfect for a mid-week stay to break the road trip or a weekend getaway to enjoy all that Taupo has on offer. The stand-alone unit has everything you need to relax and unwind or base yourselves for an adventure-packed weekend on the slopes. Safe parking for bermbuster weekends 😎 Cozy and warm, spend the evenings binging netflix or enjoy a BBQ in your own private courtyard watching the sunset. The space With a new smart TV and soundbar, a cozy lounge area, and a beautiful queen-size bed, you'll feel right at home. Second bedroom which boasts a king single bed and a desk, opening out to a purpose-built courtyard area with outdoor lights, dining, awning, and BBQ. Portacot available on request. A full bathroom and kitchenette with tea and coffee facilities will make sure you're ready for the day. A quick 5-minute walk to the lake will take you to the lakeside path, leading into town center. Beach towels are also available if you're up for a dip in the lake or relaxing out at the hot springs. The unit is stand-alone, down the end of a rear section driveway, so you'll be positioned far enough away from the road to feel safe and secluded. Please note the Airbnb is next to our family home, but we try our best to be considerate and give guests their privacy. We have a very quiet and respectful neighborhood, with mostly young families. Guest access The space is all yours to enjoy. There is off-street parking under a carport available right outside your front door (great for beating the frost in the morning before an early start!). Parking for one car is available, but two can be accommodated for, if requested. Security lights also make opening up your door in the dark a little bit easier. Self check-in and check-out via lockbox. Other things to note The unit is next to the main house, which is home to my husband and I, and our 4 young children. We will respect your privacy and try our best to keep noise to a minimum, but sometimes kids will just be kids. Our property backs onto a primary school and neighboring houses are mostly young working families.
