This cozy mother-in-law unit is great for 1-2 people enjoying a mountain town getaway, located 2 blocks from shopping, restaurants, the famed R&R Twin Peaks Diner, and pubs/wine bars in Downtown North Bend. It's a perfect respite after a day of hiking, enjoying nearby lakes, the Snoqualmie River, or local train rides. Other area attractions include Dirt Fish driving school (10 mins), Snoqualmie Casino (6 mins), winter skiing/summer hiking at Snoqualmie Pass (25 mins), and also Seattle (35mins). The space The apartment is behind our garage, which is not connected to our house. The apartment has it's own entrance, with a fully fenced yard. It's small and cozy at 324sf with ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom to help cool in the summer and an electric fire place for the winter. Due to the unit's compact size, the water heater is also smaller. And thus does not support long showers. However, most of our guests have not had any issues. The kitchen is equipped with stove, fridge, microwave and basic essential items such as plates, pots/pans, glasses, and utensils. There is a single serve K-cup Tea/Coffee maker, and we provide a few pods, sugar, and creamer packets to get you started. As cooking styles vary, cooking spices are not stocked, except for salt & pepper. The backyard has a partial view of Rattlesnake Mountain (named for sound the grass makes blowing in the wind as there are no rattlesnakes in Western Washington). The patio is a great place to relax and enjoy with an outdoor table and chairs, small propane BBQ, and a pergola with a canvas cover that can open and close. From the driveway you can see Mt. Si. Guest access You have complete access to the entire unit and it's fenced yard. The main house and garage have separate entrances that only the hosts have access to. Parking is available in the driveway for one vehicle, on the far left, under the Guest Parking sign posted on the fence. Other things to note We live on the property, but like to give privacy to our guests. We do have a dog that may sniff through the fence, but does not normally stay interested. Please note that there is no washing machine, dryer, or dishwasher. We also do not provide chopsticks, cooking oils, spices (except salt & pepper) or charcoal. The BBQ is propane, and a propane tank is provided.
