Our house is right across the street from Alum Creek State Park and the below dam recreation area. We are also just minutes away from all the restaurants and stores that are on Polaris, also we are just a few miles from the Polaris/Gemini parkway exit off I-71. Our house is on a flag lot which means that there are two houses on our driveway, we are the one in the back. Our house is two stories and the bedroom is on the second floor so climbing stairs is involved. The bedroom has a queen bed a dresser, a small desk, closet and small table. There is an in room refrigerator, a 32 inch smart TV, a ceiling fan as well as an operable window that faces the private rear yard. You will have exclusive use of the hall bath which was recently updated. There is also another bedroom with a full size bed that is available for an additional fee if you have need for an additional room. This room is only available as an add on to this listing and will never be rented out to another person or group while you are staying with us or by itself. If you are interested, the charge for the extra room is 30 dollars per night plus an additional 10 dollar cleaning fee per guest that occupy the extra room. You are welcome to use the formal living room to relax and read, and the dining room area is available if you need a place to spread out to do some work. There is a coffee maker in the kitchen, and if you clean up after yourself you can use the kitchen for light meal preparation. Feel free to hang out and talk with either of us, or if you want some privacy that is fine too. Our bedroom is at the other end of the hall from the Airbnb room, so even if you want total privacy, we may bump into one another . We do have an outdoor cat that if you are sitting on the front porch may come and keep you company. The road that we live on can be quite busy depending on the time of day, but since our house sits back from the road traffic noise is usually not bad. We are right next to a subdivision and across the street from a park which is where we do our walking. Please note that there are no sidewalks on the road, but Alum Creek State park is right across the street and is great for walking. We are not on a bus line, so a car or a ride share is needed if you want to shop or get something to eat. Plenty of on site parking is available. We tend to keep our house a little cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer than some folks, but we are more than happy to adjust the thermostat if needed.
