Just off Wales' Coastal Path, this 17th-century converted barn offers the perfect rural hideaway to enjoy both the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff. With great access to Gileston Manor (1-minute walk away) and Cardiff Airport (a 5-minute taxi ride away), Cowbridge and Llantwit Major (15 minutes' drive). Ty Silstwn is a light, airy space with a modern kitchen, comfy double bedroom, large open sitting room with wood burner and double sofa bed and stunning views over fields to the Severn and Dartmoor. The space The property includes a light and airy kitchen with 4-seater dining table. A little room off the kitchen has been fitted with a desk for private working. Upstairs boasts a sweet double bedroom with clothes hanging space and an armchair. A modern bathroom sits off the hall, which leads into a large sitting area. With seating for 6 on two sofas, a tv and wood burner, this room offers stunning panoramic views and sunsets over fields and then the Severn and Exmoor. The corner sofa opens up into a comfy king size bed which we will provide bedding for if you book for 3-4 guests. Bring your Netflix, Prime etc passwords with you to watch streaming, or stick with terrestrial (which works brilliantly). The space is child friendly although the stairs will need keeping an eye on as we don’t offer stair gates. A travel cot (with mattress but no bedding) is available for free, upon request. The outdoor seating space sits two, with cushions and blankets provided. Solar fairy lights overhead will make your evenings even more special. The kitchen is fully fitted with all the cooking utensils and crockery you’ll need. We provide cooking oil, washing up liquid, cleaning spray and hand wash, a tea towel and jiffy cloth, one towel pp and a hand towel for the bathroom. There is parking for one car on the drive, which is shared with the owners. Guest access The house itself, drive for parking one car and outdoor seating area in the photos. The gardens are private.
