Ca d’la Giannina was created to offer an authentic experience in an ancient Italian alpine hamlet with stone houses, nestled among chestnut woods at the entrance of the wild Valle Antrona. 🏔️ Slow living, nature, and a journey back in time are the essence of Ca d’la Giannina, making your stay a unique and regenerating experience. The space Ca d’la Giannina is a small stone and wood mountain cabin, lovingly restored by us while preserving the traditional style of old village homes. It is furnished with antique, restored, or repurposed objects from the past, combined with modern comforts. On the ground floor, you’ll find a sofa bed, a wood stove, and the artesanal small, but well equipped wooden kitchen. Upstairs, there is a cozy reading nook and a staircase leading to the bedroom and bathroom with a shower. The toilet and bidet are located in a classic little external bathroom on the balcony, as was typical in traditional local houses. Please note that the upper floor (bedroom and bathroom) has reduced ceiling height, as the original dimensions of the house were preserved. Outside, you’ll have a table for dining and a spacious garden under the fruit trees where you can relax and enjoy the view 🌿 Other things to note • The cabin has low ceilings and small doors due to its original structure, which might be uncomfortable for very tall guests. • A backpack is recommended instead of a trolley for easier access to the house. • The sofa beds are suitable for children or short stays for adults. • In winter, the cabin is heated only by the wood stove and a small electric heater in the external bathroom on the balcony.
