Description

The A-frame/treehouse is tucked deep in a dense forest and part of a tiny village of Airbnb unique off-grid glamping structures. This is one of 4 cabins in our glamp village. It's simple, sleek design and earth tone colors allows it to blend in with the surrounding nature. We are 2.5 hours from NYC and perfect for couples looking for a fun and romantic adventure. Weekday renters will access hot water upon arrival from the owners vacant house 700 feet away from the A-frame. The space The A-frame is 12x14 feet and has natural plank board interior walls, queen sized mattress with full bedding, (additional foam floor mattress can be added for another adult or 2 children), 2 sitting chairs, washing sink and a fabulous elevated deck that is perched more than 16 feet high among majestic oaks gives it not just the feel of an hidden A-frame but also a tree house. Note: We offer amenities, such as full bedding/pillows, thermos of hot water, instant tea/coffee, a vanity with small glamping style sink, pot, pan, mini propane stove for outdoor cooking and brand new (2024 issued) port-a-potty that is shared with one other cabin and a small plastic camping portable toilet for your private use only (not shared) you can use inside the A-frame (this is especial useful in the middle of the night). You also must be comfortable walking from the parking area 130 feet through a dense forest on uneven ground on a slight decline to reach the A-frame. We strongly suggest arriving for the check-in BEFORE it gets dark. Speaking of dark, if you're here during a clear night, you will be dazzled by our star gazing and wonder in awe at how clearly you can see the Milky Way from our field. Walk our secluded dirt road and visit the animals at the nearby farm (Lamas, sheep, goats, donkeys, ducks, chickens). Other nearby attractions are: -Kaaterskill Waterfall, -Zoom Flume water park, -Howe Caverns (underground caves). FAQ 1. Is there electricity in the A-frame? No, but we provide a rechargeable lantern with USB port that allows for cell phone charging. 2. Is there hot water? No, not exactly. The sink water tap is room temperature available from a 2.5 gallon jug is used for brushing teeth and washing hands. We do offer a thermos of pre-boiled hot water and you can make more hot water using the mini propane stove. 3. Do we have privacy? Yes, no one can see into your accommodation and other campsites are more than 150 feet from yours. 4. Do we need to bring our own drinking water? Yes, we only provide 2.5 gallons of water for sink wash up. 5. Do we need to bring our own blankets, pillows? No, we provide all fresh bedding material and a fresh set of bath towels. However, we do suggest bringing an extra blanket for your added comfort. 6. Is there a bathroom? Yes, there is a brand new clean (manufactured in 2024) port-a-potty that is shared with other guests. It is approximately 130 feet from the A-frame. You will also have a personal (non shared) small plastic camping portable toilet to use inside the A-frame (This is especially useful during the night). 7. Is there Wi-fi? No, but there is cell service for AT&T and T-mobile. Verizon is the weakest signal 8. Are pets allowed? Yes, for a fee. 9. Are kids allowed? Yes but they should be over the age of 10. 10. Do you provide a BBQ grill? We provide a Coleman mini propane stove for outdoor cooking under the deck. Propane is included as well as pot, frying pan and tea kettle. 11. Where can we cook? Under the deck is a small platform with a sort of out-door-cooking area. It is with a roof to keep dry in the event of rain. 12. Do you provide plates, utensils, napkins, coffee mugs? Yes 13. Do you provide coffee and tea? Yes we provide instant versions of both. 14. Is there heat? No, but the cabin is well insulated. Guest access The entire space is for your use only. There is a 130 foot forest path that has to be navigated. The terrain is down hill and slightly uneven. NO camp fires. Take all trash with you. We're a carry in carry out glampsite.
