Bay Country Cottage * A Cozy, Peaceful Oasis

Welcome to Bay Country Cottage, located in the beautiful Chesapeake bay country of eastern shore Maryland! The space If you’re looking for a quiet space to kick back and relax this is your place. We are located in a rural country setting on 20 acres with lots of trees. We have ample parking with a great area for parking your boat! Our cottage is small, but just right for remote workers, young families or couples. We have two bedrooms with a queen bed in each. If you’d like room for sleeping 6, there is a sofa bed in the living room that can be set up for your convenience. Or I will gladly provide a one person floor cot upon request! The kitchen is tiny, but well stocked if you should choose to do your own cooking. Dining seating is limited with only two bar stools, but you are welcome to use the living room as well. There is a laundry with a washer and dryer for your use, along with a wash line out behind the house. Detergent and dryer sheets are provided. There are books in the living room if you enjoy reading, and some games/toys under the bench in the laundry room and also in the top left dresser drawer in the blue bedroom. There’s also a desk, lamp and chair perfect for remote work. The cottage is nestled in a little clearing with 4 greenhouses off to the right. If you are here in the summer/fall you are likely to see hundreds of tomatoes we have planted there. (If you enjoy tomatoes let us know and we will gladly share a couple with you!) To the left, there’s a small building used as a warehouse for a water conditioning company. The work vans are there to load up their supplies sometimes in the mornings, or late afternoon/early evening. They will not interfere with your visit and will be respectful of your privacy. Guest access The front door is secured with a key coded lock. Host will provide you with the code a day or so before your arrival. Parking is conveniently located in front of the cottage with easy access to the door. Other things to note Our aim is to be flexible. Please don’t hesitate to ask me about any of these things. I will accommodate you if at all possible! An additional guest or two.... Our place is small! Be advised, 6 adults will pretty much max out your space! But if you are wanting to add another child or infant onto the number of guests, we likely can arrange for that.( Also can provide pac n play for baby upon request) Early check-in, late check-out…. I manage this all on my own, but there may be some times that I can rearrange things to make check-in check-out times flexible Flexible Reservation Dates…. If you were hoping for a day before, or a day after the availability dates showing on the calendar, it may be that I can arrange for that. Example, if you were hoping to come for Thursday through Monday, but Thursday is showing unavailable, please at least check with me! I’ll see what I can do Only want to reserve one Night…. I have things set up that you have to reserve at least 2 nights, but again, if I can be workable for just a one night reservation, I will do that! Feel free to ask! AROUND this AREA…. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities here and in nearby towns such as boating, fishing, crabbing, bird watching, biking, etc. Ganey’s Wharf boat ramp on the Choptank River is a mere 3 miles away. You can also explore historic towns, beaches, and state parks. We are only a 20 minute drive to Easton, named one of the best small towns of America, where you can find unique shops, art galleries, antiques, parks, restaurants, the Amish Country Farmer’s Market and lots more. We have approximately an hour to the beaches, and Chincoteague is just an hour and 45 min. drive south. So come on out and explore this beautiful part of Maryland’s eastern shore!
