Description
Relax in this unique detached annex set in the heart of Steventon village, the birthplace of Jane Austen. The perfect location for a countryside get away, with beautiful walks and fantastic local pubs and restaurants nearby. The annex is bright, airy and spacious - the ideal setting for anyone looking to take a break from city life or even work remotely. Family friendly dogs are welcome on request. The space The private annex sits above our garage, which is adjacent to our family home. You enter the annex through a private door and once upstairs are immediately in the large and spacious main room, which has high ceilings and lots of light. The main room contains a large sofa bed, farmyard style kitchen table and the kitchen area, with a fridge, electric hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is also a smart tv to allow you to access most TV apps (Netflix, iPlayer etc.) and fast internet. Off the main room is a single bedroom and the bathroom, which has a large walk in shower, toilet and sink There is off street parking in front of the annex and lots of country walks nearby. Guest are also welcome to use the orchard area of the garden leading up to the annex. Guest access Guests access the entrance to the annex the drive and have access to the garden leading up the driveway. We recommend arriving by car to allow you to explore and experience everything in the area, but alternatively we can be reached by train to Basingstoke or Overton. Other things to note The kitchen doesn't include a washing machine, however if requested we can arrange for guests to have access to an outdoor studio which has washing facilities. You have to walk through the main room (with the double sofabed) to get to the bathroom, which makes the annex best suited for close friends and families.
