Les Cabanes des Landes – Salamander Cabin

Charming cabin sheltered by fir trees with magnificent views of a small pond. Not overlooked, it is a quiet and soothing place. Its simple and natural appearance blends seamlessly with modern comfort amenities. Its outdoor dining area and campfire allow you to enjoy the nature that surrounds it. It has a small fenced area that delimits your space and that of the farm animals who will not fail to come and claim some caresses and treats. The space ❤️❤️❤️In the shade of tall trees, in front of a small pond and not far from the river, the Salamandre cabin is ideal for enjoying a bit of coolness during a heat wave❤️❤️❤️ Please note: We will be away from August 28th to September 1st. There is someone on site to welcome you and to manage in case of need, but there will be no activities (archery, spa, catering). However, you have free access to the pétanque court, pool table, and dartboard, as well as to the pet care facilities. Cabin of about 45 m² consisting of 2 bedrooms and a living room. One bedroom with a 140 cm bed, a four-poster bed with a glass roof and a view of the starry sky (in good weather! Closed with a curtain), a mezzanine bedroom with an offset staircase, 1 double bed and up to 3 single beds in the attic. A living room composed of a kitchenette (sink, fridge, microwave with grill, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, table and chairs), a living area with sofa (single bed) and TV. Shower room with shower and sink, toilet with dry toilet. Exteriors: fenced property, table, benches. Campfire-style barbecue. Dining area. Heating by wood-burning stove. On sunny days, a common area at the entrance to the property houses a dining area and breakfasts, a relaxation area (tv, library, board games) and a leisure area with pétanque, darts, billiards (reserved for +12 and under the supervision of parents). At extra cost, several activities will be offered. SPA: A Spa is available on a secluded part of the property. One session will be offered for any reservation of 2 nights minimum. For safety reasons, it is not accessible to children under the age of 12. A babysitting service will be offered for infants if needed. Each session is privatized. On-demand session rate (about 40 mins): €10/pers for residents of cabins for 1 night rental and for sessions in addition to the session offered from 2 nights booked. Make sure to book your session in advance Guest access Vehicles can access the cabin in dry weather to bring things in on arrival and out on departure. Free parking is available at the entrance to the property in order to preserve the tranquility of the place. In rainy weather, for your arrival and departure, we will accompany you with our 4x4 vehicle. Other things to note On certain occasions, if you wish, you can take part in various farm activities (milking the goats, making cheese, feeding the animals, bottle-feeding, etc.). It is not possible to plan these activities in advance during your stay, as they are too dependent on births, the animals' needs, and the weather, but please feel free to ask us about them—there is always something going on. In addition to on-site activities (pétanque, billiards, board games, fishing, etc...) other activities are possible with extra charge( introduction to target archery, etc...). If you are looking for activities, please let us know especially for those who request a reservation before your arrival, especially for short stays. Winter: the cabin is heated by a wood-burning stove. It allows for a temperature in winter of 18 to 20° provided of course to regularly supply the fire. (Wood provided) In very cold weather, we provide a kerosene stove for the night (in case of a power outage 😂). For the same cabin and at the same outside temperature, we have excellent feedback from people who were not cold at all and others who in the same conditions were colder. Keep in mind that it's a cabin, not a house, that it's isolated like a cabin, not like a house, and that your feelings will depend mainly on your habits. If you are sensitive to the cold, we offer a house for rent on the same property with the same activities. Renting a cabin in winter, especially for the holidays, is a unique experience, often a discovery that delights children, but it will not be possible to be in a T-shirt as in a house 😉 You will find on site duvets and pillows. Bed linen, bath linens and tea towels are not included in the rental so as not to impose the additional cost on our guests. If you want to bring your own linen we will give you the size of the beds, for others, a linen pack is available with extra charge (€5/pers). For the final cleaning, we ask that the accommodation be returned in the condition in which it was found. If you have chosen the linen package option, please strip the beds without turning over the duvet and pillow covers, and leave the mattress covers on the beds. For those who wish, a cleaning option is available for €30, to be paid on site. Please let us know if possible upon check-in. Events allowed after agreement
