This is the perfect get-away for a group of friends or a family. The main house has an extra large living room, dining room and game area. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Detached bedroom is en suite. The screened porch is delightful and gets a nice breeze and a river view. There is fishing right off the banks of the Trinity River. Guests at The Glen share the next door pool with guests renting the other cottages at River Rock Gardens. The space This is a large home where the living areas take precedence. Full kitchen, bar area, game table and games, large smart TV and plenty of room to watch movies or stream your shows. The attached porch is not heated but the faux fireplace heater can take the chill out and lap blankets are provided. This is the best place to watch deer, turkeys, other birds and wildlife. Very comfortable, homey ambiance. Fishing right from the riverbank or wade in and improve your chances. If you rent The Glen as the main house as well as the three cottages next door, this main house is the perfect place to host your group up to 18 people. There is plenty of prep space in the kitchen and enough seating for all. Use the three other guest cottages just next door as bedrooms - the Pine Cone Cottage sleeps two in a queen bed; the Bunkhouse sleeps up to 6 (using very tall upper bunks!) with a bathroom and a half; the Bears' Den sleeps three in a king bed plus a twin. All cottages have bathrooms with showers and a small kitchen area...no full on cooking permitted in the cottages at River Rock Road Gardens & Cottages. There is a pool located at the property next door that is for all guest to use, including those who rent The Glen. This is a great place for your family reunions, girls-outing or to hang with your fishing buddies! There is a Weber BBQ - you bring your favorite charcoal! Guest access Guests are welcome to wander all the property and fish from the river bank. We do not permit ATVs on the property. Other things to note Guests are welcome to wander the property, enjoy the river bank (sling chairs are available in the garage) and fish from the river bank.
