The Sugar House, Maple Hill Road

The Sugar House on Maple Hill Road was once the site of a traditional Sugar House. The post and beams, wooden ceiling boards, 26 foot ceiling enhances the interior beauty. The house sits on 7 acres of woods with a small stream. Stowe Mountain Resort, The Trapp Family Lodge, Smugglers Notch, Long Trail, are just a few of the near by points of interest. Other activities near by include biking, fly fishing, golf, the Rail Trail. Stowe, Morrisville , Johnson, Hyde Park are just minutes away The space The entire Main Floor, Upper Loft, Deck Backyard and Woods are there for your use. The basement apartment (Private Entrance) has a year round renter. Make sure you leave your sheets, bedding and towels at home. The Sugar House on Maple Hill Road provides these items. The 3rd bed is the queen sofa sleeper in the living room. Each bedroom has a window AC and there is one in the living room The upstairs bedroom also has a ceiling fan. The dinning area also has a ceiling fan. Please look at the photos of the stairs going upstairs to the second bedroom and bathroom. They are Maple logs cut in half. They’re old, they are original and they’re not 100% level but they are safe to use if you just take a little bit of time going up and down. The best way to go down is to go backwards and holding on to the railing with your left hand, taking one step at a time. We are also on well water. It does have an iron taste, but it’s safe to use and to drink. We provide some bottled water in the refrigerator for your visit. You will probably need to get some additional bottles of water. He has a complete separate entrance in the back of the house. In the basement there is a washer and dryer that is shared with the renter.
