Gristmill Springs Nestled in the high peaks region of the Adirondacks, our cottage boasts views of the Cascade Range and Hurricane Mountain. We are minutes from downtown Keene and local hiking trails. We offer a fully-outfitted kitchen and a living room with working fireplace. We have a stereo system with turntable and a collection of LP’s from the 70’s and 80’s. In the warm weather, enjoy the outdoor shower! Our cottage is newly upgraded and ready to host you and your friends and family. The space We are in sports and nature paradise here! Our cottage is 15 minutes from Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort, 15 minutes from Mt. Van Hoevenburg, 18 minutes from the Ski Jumps and 25 minutes from downtown Lake Placid. You will find all kinds of Olympic events and activities in the winter months, including Downhill Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, Skating, Bobsledding and Ice Climbing. In the summer, there are numerous trailheads nearby for Mountain Climbing, Swimming in the nearby East Branch of the Ausable River, Biking along the highways and byways, Trail Biking, Stand-Up-Paddleboarding in Lake Placid, Canoeing, and Kayaking on the many lakes and rivers. We provide Trail Maps, Restaurant Guides, Activity Brochures, Tips for locating Groceries, Medical Care, Outdoor Gear Shops, and can happily recommend our own favorites!
